Editor's Note: Catch an Encore of Last Friday's Episode
Due to a technical issue, viewers were unable to see the outcome of last Friday's Dog Whisperer episode, so we're adding a previously unscheduled encore presentation of the same episode this Friday at 7P et/pt. This encore will be followed by a brand new episode of Dog Whisperer at its regularly scheduled time, Friday at 8P et/pt.
JonBee, a once-stray Korean Jindo dog, turns into a vicious attack dog if anyone even comes near him. His owners fear that without Cesar's help, they may have to give JonBee to a shelter. Then Cesar meets Hudson, the Insane Dane. When his owners brought him into their family after one of their other Danes died, Hudson took over the house -- forcing his new owners out of their own bed! Finally, Cesar becomes matchmaker to Buford, a "spoiled rotten" boxer who won't accept his new housemate.

would like to put a Dog Whisperer poster up in my waiting room
dont see such a product available
does such a thing exist? could you make it exist if it doesnt?
seems the more folk watch your show the better my life will be
It was very strange on Friday night when the interruption happened. I kept double checking to see if I was on the right channel. Luckily, they the show was repeated in my city two hours later in it's entirety. But what the heck? I'll watch it again!!!
To Kevin. Why don't you buy the Training video for People Ceasar has out and play that in the waiting room? Sound good...eh?
Barbara has a good suggestion for Kevin. I'd love it if my vet had a Dog Whisperer video on during our waiting room time!
As for poster suggestions, I think Cesar should have one that says, "Walk your dog. Don't let him walk you."
I love "Dog Whisperer". I am hooked, and printout the tv schedule.
Thought it was me or the TV. Learn something from evry show i see. A man with a graet gift. Thanks for sharing it.
Cesar I just want to let you know that you are truly my hero. Now when people say If you had the chance to meet anyone who would it be Ofcourse I say The Dog Whisperer. I love your show. I would love to be just like you. Thanks for all that you do.
Korean Dog and Cat Meat Market... JONBEE
Please see Korean Animal Protection Society if you would like to help dogs like JONBEE. I can imagine that he may have escaped from the Korean Dog and Cat Meat Market which is why he was in so much agony.
This is there site...

Please spread the word and help if you can.
Yay...Ceasar thank you so much for being the saint you are. I wish there were schools that others could attend and learn.
I was looking forward to seeing the 'insane dane' last Friday but it was never shown. My boyfriend has two crazy dane puppies~ I'm so excited to see that there'll be an encore showing of it tonight! I cant wait~
I watch way too much T.V. and I have cut down on many shows, Dog Whisperer will definitely stay on! Besides I love to wake up with Cesar every morning at 7:00am. Thanks for training me and making me laugh & cry!!
For those of us just discovering this show, is there a way to get tapes of previous episodes? I have a darling Corgi female who has decided that she'd like to eat our 13-y.o. Cocker spaniel every time she sees him. I hear there are a couple of episodes that might help.
Julie, National Geographic channel repeats the shows constantly. Check your schedule. Here it is at 10 am and 3 pm a couple times a week. I am sure you can find and record the previous shows.
Julie,
I agree with Ewa. There is also a tape out on this website that you can get and I also believe that Cesar has a book coming out.
On Fridays my dvd recorder is set to automacticaly record the program and the tv is set to go to change over to the Dog Whisperer.
This show helped me so much. When I first got my dog, a rescue dog who was around 5 years old, I was very nervous and things just weren't going well. I worked with a trainer, and that helped alot. (I SOOOOO recommmend that for anyone with problems---don't try and do it on your own!)
But even though I learned tequniqes with the trainer, I was still always nervous that my dog, Thomas, was going to pull us into fights with other dogs (he was a bit leash aggressive in the beginning).
Watching and listening to Cesar really drilled it into my head that I was the one in charge, not my dog. And once that clicked for me, things got much easier. I KNEW there was NO WAY my dog would pull us into fights b/c I wouldn't allow it.
It really is all in your frame of mind. Cesar is so right! Calm, asserive energy all the way!!!!
Cesar,
You have said that a dog's world is not our world. They are dog and not people.
We are a house of lovers. We kiss and hug our dogs and love on them.
My toy poodle, Ginger is always trying to kiss Sadie, our border collie, on the mouth by licking her. Ginger runs around Sadies head trylng to lick her lips. Sadie avoids her by turning her head so that Ginger's licks miss their mark.
Cesar, what does THIS mean in the dog world? I am really curious.
I think your show is great. I am a long time watcher and have my friends watching also. You were talking about the meaning of how the New Orleans dog was holding its tail up and what different tail positions mean. Do you have a book that has dog behaviors and what it means to them?
Thank you,
Nancy Broadhurst
Stafford, Texas
A friend of mine owns an obedience trained Akita. He was in a horrible car accident and unable to do much with the 1 year old dog. I am a small female and had never been around such a dominant and independent dog. The dog took to me from the beginning but would try to dominate me. I used some of the techniques Cesar demonstrated and had great results! No yelling, no drama, just standing tall, telling the dog what I wanted and having the attitude that it will be done before he gets what he wants. The dog still tries occasionally to be the boss, but I let him know that's not acceptable. He not only responds well, but loves me even more. We can play without problems so we are all happy. He even loves it when I brush his teeth! I can't believe how easy to was to turn this great bossy beast into the sweet teddy bear he loves to be.
Thanks Cesar and National Geographic Channel!
I have had my dog Queenie for 10 years now. For the past 3 years Princess has completed our pack. When first getting Quennie, my one learning lesson with the trainer who told me to be firm, and let Queenie know who's the boss. Nothing was said about being the pack leader. The dogs must sit quitely until I fix their food. They cannot start eating until I clap my hands. From this I decide that when going outside, they must sit until I pat my leg. Never did I know the one lesson I learn would do so much for me and the dogs.
I have faithfully watched the show. I missed the encore of the "New Orleans" dogs. I will be watching for the repeat.
It seems unbelievable to me that until Cesar, the majority of people in the US never thought of dogs as "dogs" and not extentions of ourselves. Until Princess came, Queenie was not happy. Watching and learning, I am so grateful for "The Dog Whisper".
Please send me a schedule of your tv programs in the Flint, MI area. Thank you. Beth
Pamela Gardner, I'm with you
I'd pay Cesar so I could learn from him. He's one of reasons I got my chow chows. He helped me see that a people and dogs could live in harmony with each other. I've signed up for his seminar and am looking forward to seeing him in person:)
Thanks Cesar for healing our animals and humans.
Thanks National Geographic for having the exceptional insight into sharing this wonderful Dog Whisperer with all of us. He is an inspiration to everyone he comes in contact with. It's all about wonderful, positive energy....and Cesar as a man.
Thank you for your work, has helped tremendously with my two rescued dogs. Your recent show on dog parks was especially important. Despite my best efforts with my dogs I stopped going to dog parks because I cannot control other dogs starting fights. I would like Cesar to draw up a list of rules and suggestions for owners about dog parks so that they truly could be a fun place for dogs and humans. A weather proof poster to hang by the gate and a handout to owners would be great.
Having once worked in a shelter and seen many dogs returned because neither owners nor shelter workers knew how to bring a stressed dog home. Simple handouts would be helpful here as well. Bilingual even better.
thanks again Gav
good job!!! i thought you would get bit. i am going to teach my dog not beg the way you say to. i hope it works!!!
Ceasar you are my new Hero! My whole family watches and records the show.. We have become great dog owners and pack leaders thanks to you! Your AWESOME! Thank you!
Gary and Family
Hey come to Oklahoma!!!!!! please I'm begging you
I see that the basis for creating a healthy dog/person relationship is succeeding in the dog walk. I have a Yorkie and they are prone to hip problems. Is this a breed that should be walked as well?
Cesar, my main comment about your show is that I'm always amazed that people find your philosophy and methods revolutionary. You know as well as I that you are using very old training techniques and nothing new in any way, shape or form. In recent years the emphasis has been on operant conditioning and positive reinforcement in particular, so maybe that's why the old has began to look new again. But there has always been a consensus among scientists that dogs are pack animals, therefore dogs expect an order, a hierarchy, if you will, within the family pack. You are right in that many humans fail their dogs by not establishing the order of things and where the dog fits. Subsequently, the dog continually jockeys for position and finds himself in a state of disarray and disorder. But while I do congratulate you on your success, I think people should know that you haven't invented anything. You've merely gone back to the basics, nothing more.
When I travel I have to take my rottweiler (Bear) to the kennel. I feel really bad because I hate the thought of him beginning caged. I did quite a bit of research on kennels in the area and the one Bear goes to seems to be the most active. Am I just an over emotional Mom or should I truly be concerned?
On another note, every Friday night Bear and I watch the Dog Whisper...What an awesome show! I used to have to walk Bear on a prong collar but after watching the show, I was able to control Bear with Cesar's techniques. I have such great respect for Cesar.
Where can I find a weekly time schedule for the show on the dish and on comstat cable.
Thanks
Joe
Jonbee was the most beautiful transformation of an animal I had ever seen! The episode made me realize how important it is to never give up on our four legged friends, the dog. No matter how beast like it may be, a professional such as Cesar, can train and help others the importance of not sending them to their death. Keep up the good work!!
Dogs Rule
I am so inspired by watching the show, I am in deperate need of some help with my 11 yr. old poodle who has been on 7 different medications for anxiety disorder and nothing has helped him. I am held prisoner in my own house because the dog cant be left alone without distroying things. If there is any chance or possible way for cesar to contact me my prayers would be answered.
I can be reached @ 908-707-1654.
Does anyone know of a way to contact Cesar or the show about a problem dog?
Help!
We have a great wheaten terrier named Fiona who needs haircuts every few months but absolutely FREAKS OUT when we take her anywhere to do it. The stylist is afraid she will hurt herself from being so stressed out. We try to brush her nightly but even with soft music and candles it's a chore.
We thought of sedatives but wheatens are supposed to be very sensitive to anesthesia. Is there a safe pill? Anybody have any ideas besides blowing bong hits at her? (my nephews idea - rejected - so far.)
hello Mr. dog whisper
I have pitbull mix name Hunter he is year old, and he have a few problems that sometimes scares me that he could hurt somebody, he is a very sweet dog at home and with people that he knows, but when it comes to new people there is nobody that can control his unger, and when I take him for walks he pulls too hard, and because he is a very strong dog he overcomes my command. I feel really bad I can't take him outside during the day, because there is people outside. please, please I would really appreciate your help!

I posted a comment last week, but can't find it. I don't know how to follow these blogs. MY PROBLEM--My Jack Russell Terrier runs away every time someone opens the front door. This happened twice yesterday. She even ran away last night when it was dark & cold outside. The only way I caught her was to start the car & leave the door open & kept yelling "come on, let's go byes". I drove around the block & pulled in the garage & shut the door. She then followed me in through the inside entry. I am afraid I'm going to have a heart attack or my pup will get hit with a car. SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP US!!!!
If you go to Cesar's Dog Psycology Center web site there is information on how to contact the Center. It states that Cesar is no longer accepting clients but those trained under him are. They will do phone sessions and I think, maybe even email advice. I am pretty sure that there is even a link for trainers in "your area."
Check it out and see if you can find the answers that many of you (us) are looking for.

HELP!!! I adopted a Beagle Mix from our local pound and he is so spazzed! I thought by having him neutered, it would make him calmer but nothing is doing the trick. We locked him in a building for his own safety to recover from surgery and he climbed and jumped all over the inside of the building. I think he could be trained if we could just get his attention. Please help, he is a lovable dog, but he is just too hyper. He also jumps on our other dog, which is a little pup. I am sorry this is so long, but I am frantic!
My five yr. old Golden is petrified of thunder storms and rain. I dont want to give her any kind of pill.
We try to calm her down by reassuring her everything is ok. but i am not sure what else to do.
Thankyou in advance, i like watching you react with the dogs. Terry
I would love to for the dog whisper (Ceasar or Cesar) to come see me, my dogs are way way way to hyperactive and dont listen. I can ignore them, treat them for good, I dont know what to do? Please come see me.....
Dana
I am from Puerto Rico, I love Cesar's Show The Dog Whisperer, Ive learned so much since Ive been watching it.
I have a 10 year old Boxer, he is a great and loving dog, the only problem I had with him was during the walks. He used to push the leash and go wherever he wanted. I was one of those owners who believed that it was his way of enyoing his freedom. But now I understand that I am the one who has to be in control, not him. That state of mind of me being the leader changed our relationship for the better, now he pays more attention to me.
I can't wait for Cesar to come to Puerto Rico and give one of his conferences. The treatment to animals here is not the same as in the US, they usually euthanize violent dogs without giving a chance to workout the situation. I really believe that we can learn a lot from his knowledge about dog phsycology.
También pienso que deberían de preparar una versión de "People Training for Dogs" en Español.
Sr. Millan me encanta su show!
Saludos desde Puerto Rico!
WHY? WHY IS THIS WONDERFULL SHOW ONLY ON NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC? WHY CAN'T IT BE ON OTHER STATIONS ?
I Love this show, it's the best thing I've watched. It's intresting and very informational. Cesar is unbeatable. His work, gift & talents are well worth putting on many times and many more stations.
I think it's a SHAME that it's only on one station, once a week; can't someone out there do something so more people can enjoy the show?
We have a 1 1/2 old Austrilan Shepard. She listens to me very well, that is untill the Harley starts up. I have tried to make her stand still untill the bike is out of the yard, but no luck. On the show it shows a dog in a house situation, We have more than three acer lot. And this dog will not lisen when the bike starts up. She has even gotten into the practice of biting the rider of any given that might leave the yard. I know that the breed has the task, or that there of. But unlike most of the dogs on the show, she gets to run all day long, everyday. she is not an inside dog, but sometimes she dose get to come inside to visit. She minds me very well, with only hand justures. when that bike starts up it is like shel lost her mind, and then she is biting everybody. How do I get her to listen to me over the sound of the motorcycle. With only a hand signal, she will sit and give me her paw, start up a motor cycle and she is an idoit. Also, I have just noticed this, she is scared of little people, My daugher is 16 and looks very much like a grown person. I have noticed lately that Jessie is not cortable with small people. (but she dose not see that many small people.) I am more conserned with the biting or nipping of the bike riders. How do I get her to listen to me???
Thanks, Pam
As a fellow animal whisperer and master yoga therapist, I found it curious when Ceasar advised Actress Denise Richards to ignore her dogs when she comes home from work. Surely he must know that the pack has a very important ritual known as the Greeting Ceremony, in which the pack gleefully showers affection on a member who returns after an absense. Imaging how happy any pack must be when it's their leader who returns!
I also note that I have never heard Caesar mention tail wagging; he talks about tail up, straight, down -- but never back and forth. When tail wagging is evidenced in a submissive mode, this is certainly a sterling example when excitement trumps calmness. Every time dogs I see dogs after an absense and they recognize me as an accepted member of their pack by racing excitedly to greet me, I, rather than ignoring them, dive right to the ground whenever possible and roll around with them, sharing and basking in the unbridled happiness they display upon seeing me again.
Seems to me that, in this regard, as wonderful as Caesar is, there may be a tad too much Hispanic macho in his rigorous counsuling of strict aloofness in virtually every encounter with an excited doggie or pack. I'd appreciate feedback on this issue.
Hi
My name is larissa Jones. I have a Great Dane 17 month old dog. We have many behavioral problems with him. We are at a point that we don't know what to do with him. He runs through the electric fence all the time, even with two shock colors when sees something exiting( peopel walking, dogs, cats etc). We cannot leave him in the yard unatended. The previous dog could stay with no problems. I don't think it would be fair to keep him inside all the time, but we don't have a choice. if you can answer what to do in such a situation, we would appreciate. If the dog whisperer can find out the problem. We would like that.
Larissa
Cesar is awsome!!!! I watch his show religiously. All of his dogs are all beautiful and they behave so well. I love his Rotties and pitts the most. I have a rottie and understand the importance of good disiplin. My daughter has a terrier mix and likes to bark at any noise outside. I tried the tecnique and it works but still barks not as much. I can control her better.
when our dog is in a agressive play mode she dose not respond or listen to what we are saying.what do we do? and how can we get her to listen?
Great show! I watch Cesar all the time and the repeats, just in case, I missed something. I have a mixed breed female. Gadget will be 3 yrs come this July, and she's about 60 pounds. She a very strong, active willed dog. Believe me I work with her everyday with Cesar methods. Thanks Cesar! I have one question does anyone know the name of that special collar that he uses and where can I purchase it? I have already purchased the pack back a year ago. It works!
I don't even own a dog and I love to watch the Dog Whisper!
I love when the National Geographic Channel has back to back episodes all night long ... WooHoo Heaven!
Thanks Cesar!
We have spent almost $7 thousand dollars in 3 years on dog trainers please help us!!!!. I know you only do California but just give us some advice. everyone tells us we ae going to have to put our dog of 11 years to sleep if we don't get help. We have an 11 year old akita named Bo he loves my husband and I but hates our 3 children. he has bit our oldest son who is 11 twice for no reason. He can't stand children. I love him so much an dhe follows every thing we say except for "DONT BIT THE KIDS". He is gentle and loving but he hates kids. We have spent so much money on trainers but nobody can get him to not be aggressive with our kids. I don't know what to do. It has taking my husband and my relationship to the brink. I want to get rid of him so that my kids can have a back yard and on the other hand I can't let them kill him. I love my dog but what can I do to make him stop hating our children. At our old house he was fine and them kids in the neighborhood would throw firecrackers at him and things very mean like that to him and all of a sudden he hates kids. I am at my witts end but at the puond they say we will have to put him to sleep. The Lord is my everything and I just can't let that happen so what can I do? We will pay anything if you can just get Bo to love our children as much as he loves and respects us. Please help fast. Email us or please call 317 894 1653....
\I have a four year old black lab with what i would assume has low self asteem. she is afriad of a lot of differnt things such as tile floors and also other dogs, espically little dogs. I also have a mixed breed dog that like to domate her and she allows this. I was just wondering how i can help my lab become more cofendent with herself.
thank you for your time

ps i really enjoy watching your show and i have learned quite a lot about training and hope to learn more!
Love the show!! Does anyone know how I can email a question to the Dog Whisperer? I need major help with our new "family member".
I think this show is great, keep up the good shows.
I love the show and have learned so much. Does anyone know how to be considered for an episode? I have a 2 year old female golden retriever, named Lucy. When people come in our home, she goes absolutely crazy. She runs, jumps, and is totally obnoxious. We have tried everything from penny cans to gentle leaders to try and settle her down. Once she calms down, 20 minutes later, she is usually fine. It is very frustrating. We need help!
Thank you,
Pru Pfeifer

Hello,
I have two dashchunds Ozzie is 2 and Coco is 9 months. I am having a lot of troublw with Ozzie. He is very depressed, wont eat any food at all except a milk bone it seems like every hour. He only wants to play with Coco whenever he feels like it, and barks and snaps at eveyone that walks by or comes in the house. He even bit my little cousin the other day when she went to pet him. I has sent Ozzie to obedience school when he was six 1/2 months old. The only thing he learned was to sit and go to the bathroom outside instead of in the house. Any comments or suggestions would be really helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this

i love Cesar, his energy, his drive to set not only dogs, but people free of their fears. I have attended many of his seminars, and watch his show faithfully. I have helped many dogs w/ his methods..I also use positive conditioning/clicker training and have also helped many dogs/people w/ that..for the most part, there is a lot of anger toward Cesar from the "positive only" camp, and I am getting a lot of questions about the lawsuit involving the Lab ,Gator, hurt on the treadmill. I dont want to give out misinformation about what happened..will there be a time when DPC makes a formal statement about what occurred ?Accidents happen, and situations can be misjudged in any walk of life. Id like to know first the validity of what happened, and if so, why, and go from there in my responses.
Hi I have a Siberan Husky Mix. I have had her for about eight years now. I 've been concered because ever since I got her, she has been scared of fireworks. Every time she her the fireworks she runs and hides. She starts to shake or looks for me to hold her. I would like if you can tell me what can I do. To help her feel more relaxed and conformtable.
Folks - don't even THINK about getting a Husky unless you're REALLY prepared to put in some work. This is a dog that can be on the beach at 5.50am for an hour, play in the garden all day, then take a 4 mile walk, eat, then play again, and still have energy left. If this energy isn't used up - by YOU, I promise you that your furniture and anything else that looks interesting may well suffer severely.
On the other hand...if you can provide this, you'll get the closest pal you can imagine in a dog. Getting Mika, my now 16 month old Husky, has been amongest the most rewarding things i've ever done.
Ceser,
I am only 16 and want to become a vet. I have a German shepherd mix named Sadie. She is a very smart dog, her only falt was agression with other dogs. I trained her but I was unable to stop her agression. I watch your show every day, and I have watched what you have done with dogs. I worked with my dog for about 3 weeks on her agression. She is doing great now. I walk her about 3-4 times a week, but during the summer its almost every day.
I just wanted to thank you. All I have ever wanted to do is become a vet, but I knew my first step was to understand the dog, the way their mind works, and the way I have to be around them. I know that when I become a vet, it will be easy for me to calm a dog.
Thank you so much for helping me in a very important step to my dream. I now just have to focus on my grades and working hard to get to the level that I want.
Again, thank you so much!
I would love to see a show on chows. I have owned chows for 14 years and I think they are the most misunderstood breed out there.
I AM A FAITHFUL LISTENER.
I WANT TO BUY A NECK COLLAR THAT I SAW ON THE SHOW. IT WAS VERY HIGH ON THE NECK AND HAD TWO OVER THE NECK SOFT MATERIAL.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN ORDER ONE.
THANK YOU, NANCY
WE ARE A OLDER GROUP IN THE DOG PARK WHO HAS SEEN HIM USE THIS
I have a 3 yr old toy poodle named Gucci. Just this past year he has started to pee on my things in the house. We also have 1 yr old poodle pups. I just don't know how to get him to stop this. I have begun to take the dogs on walks like Cesar says to. I have read the book and done all that is talked about. What do any of you suggest? I am tired of this behavior.
I have a australian shepard/rotweiller mix dog about 2-1/2 yrs. He has "sister" dog that is a chow/sharpei mix that is the same age. They get along very well and play when ever in the yard. I try to walk or run the dog in the morning and evening. The problems that I have an not major but are a problem. The dog will not allow us to brush or bath him or apply flee medication with out becoming uncontrolable. He also has a bit of a aggression problem with other dogs when we walk.If I can get him to sit down before he see's the other dog I can control him, but if I can't he will act fairly agressive to the other dog.
I would like to be able to bath, comb and have less stressful walks with my dog. Any suggestions.
Greg
I have a mulitpoo who is 9 months 10 lbs and my daughter has a 7 month conacorsa (type of mastif) 45lbs. When they are together the size difference is unbelieveable. They run, jump on each other and sometimes it gets a little much for my little dog. Her dog doesn't try to hurt mine but one swing of his paw and mine goes flying. I need some advise on how to introduce them to each other when we visit. Am I causing my little dog undue stress? Can someone give me some advice. Thanks

I watched the show with jonbee If you think having a man wrap a leash around a dogs neck and chock it until it is half dead is good training and entertaining tv then you should think again. The only people that sould be watching your show is PETA because I know I never will ever again.

I am in desperate need of help. I have a 6 year old poodle mix and for 4 years he was house dog. I started dating my current husband and the dog became an outside dog because I was tired of cleaning up after he started marking territory in the house. He has attempted to bite my husband and anyone who comes in the house or the yard that tells him what to do. He is especially agressive towards males. He charges the door when people come to the house or ring the doorbell. I get anger yell at the dog and it doesn't stop. I can't talk to my neighbors across the fense without him barking over us. I am afraid that my husband will have me to get rid of the dog mis he gets back from Iraq with the Army next year. My husband wants to start a family and all of friends and family say I will have to get rid of him if I can't get him trained. If he is set to be adopted, I am afraid he will be put to sleep and I love hime too much for that. In addition, I have gotten another dog who does stay in the house and the temperment has gotten worse. His aggression has gotten worse towards me. I do not show fear and will give him a command and stand my ground and he growls until he gets tired.Eventually he will obey my command to sit. He has no problem playing with other dogs but he shows his aggression with people and mostly men. Please help me so my husband will not make me give him up.
