Chaos! Agony! Pain! How to chose!!! Perhaps the greatest epithany I have had was the episode where Cesar was clompletely clear on "claiming the space" with Greta and Hoss! It was in that episode that I really understand how to quickly and easly claim the windows (my chow Signal used to "pop" the window to scare the birds - great fun for him!) furniture, bed and most of all - the door to keep them from charging out any time someone opened it.

I have been so greatful to see how he runs his dog psychology operation and also the many episodes about the dog park and biking, riding, skiating with dogs to up the exercise (not to mention the treadmill which has really added exercise time for my more active dogs)!

One episode on therapy dogs inspired me to go out to the Powerpaws fundraiser for therapy dogs, where we bought booth space and helped people learn to walk properly with their dogs during the pet walk-athon!

But I have to say that the most impirational episode for me is the Pup's on Parole episode, where Cesar went to a woman's correctional facility that had a program where problem dogs having their last chance to change behavior and live to be rehomed were worked with by these women who many times had been abused and mistreated themselves!

I was in awe of the honesty of Cesar showing how he got bit three times on top of helping empower these women to not only learn clearer communication and personal responsibility/authority with the dogs but also, to increase their own self esteem by saving these dogs who had no hope!

I cannot see that episode without a tear in my eye...but that does happen with many of Cesar's success stories about dogs who are about to be given up on or put down!

A few months ago my wife became pregnant with twins. Ever since then my labrador has exhibited a lack of energy. He always followed myself and my wife around the house looking to play or display his curiosity for what we were doing. At night he would follow my wife upstairs to bed and jump in to the bed and go to sleep there before i got there. Lately he just seems to be depressed and we are wondering if it has to do with him being able to sense her pregnancy. No more trips following my wife up to the bedroom. He actually is sleeping downstairs by himself.
Is this related to her pregnancy?

I need help I have a 6 mo beagle\basset and when we leave he crys I live in a condo and the neigh are not happy about it and said the will call the police every time they hear him.One told me to get him out thats not going to happen its only when we leave.he has a cage he goes in.we are not gone that much what can I do.I can't lose my puppy. Please HELP

I too realy liked the episode with Gretta & Hoss, I saved almost all of them on my DVR, but due to a quirk recently, i lost alot of them.I still watch that one when I need to be reminded how to claim the space. Also we adopted a new dog from the SPCA, she's a 2yr. blk shepherd mix, she's very sweet girl. We wanted to give an unwanted dog a good home. before we brought her into the house to meet our other 2 dogs, we took all of them for a good long walk together, like Cesar said in his book, they get along well. She doesn't realy have any issues, although i was willing to work on her, however when we go to the dog park with all the trees and squirls, she won't come when it's time to go, she's by the tree, looking up, so i go get her, since i've never had a problem like this, i don't know what to do. any suggestions? I usually go get her & she backs up to another tree, so it takes awhile.

I have a lot of favorite episodes and I am having a hard time saying just one favorite. The Hurricane Katrina tragedy touched me quite a bit so those episodes were important to me. But, episodes pertaining to introducing dogs, walking dogs, and how to "claim" space have been the most helpful. The most touching are the episodes where Cesar's intervention prevents a euthanasia are the most touching, especially when a child is involved.

There's not a "throw-away" episode in any season of the Dog Whisperer! However, I admit that the episodes where Cesar's sense of humor comes through are among my favorites such as on "Maddy and Me" when this georgeous little white mutt is crawling all over him--the same one who's frightened of men and he says: "You notice that I'm not talking to her--I'm talking to you--I don't like to go too fast with shy girls!1" It just makes me smile. . .

Hi. I live in Australia and I'm a huge dog whisperer fan. And I can't get on to Cesar's website, no way, no how. I use Mozilla Firefox for internet but I've tried Internet Explorer and I still can't get on. Can you please help. Please?!!

Yes, all of the Dog Whisperer episodes are great, and they are inspiring in their own way. A recent one thet I saw which made me laugh is the one with "Gracie" a yellow lab owned by Author John Grogan of the book "Marley and Me". I about died laughing when Cesar was holding a chicken near the dog, and the chicken laid an egg, and Cesar stated "Im a daddy! Im a daddy!". =^_^=

Michael-

obviously, from a dogs viewpoint, lots of changes are happening. His whole world revolves around you two, and right now your world is revoliving around a new baby, and rightfully so. You want him to easily adjust to this change as much as possible. Yes, he knows. Dogs can smell cancer, so I wouldnt put it past them to be able to smell a new family member on the way. Your job right now is to spend time with him, as you normally would, and at the same time introduce him to the scent of the new baby, like put a baby blanket where he sleeps, or something else where he can associate thet smell with calm submission. You may need to set boundaries with him just to let him know that you, your wife and baby are all the Alpha dogs in the pack, and he is the Omega, while at the same time letting him know that he is still part of the family. Take him out for some time together before the baby comes along, and reassure him that this will be a positive change for everyone. good luck!

I don't really have a favorite episode, but it instills my faith in Cesar when the clients he's helping are coming to him even after being to two or three different behaviorists. I also support his love for the pit bull, rottweiler, any powerful breed. I am only 16 years old, but i'm doing everything i can think of to stop and help prevent any BSL (breed specific legislation aka banning breeds)in my area and anyone else who needs the help. I would like to hear more about Cesar's new facility, i heard he moved the psychology center. I would also like to send a good job out to Cesar for starting the rescue dog foundation that he did recently. I too volunteer heavily with dog rescue and i hope one day to meet Cesar because i want to help dogs become balanced like they should be. Anyways, I am extremely excited about dog whisperer week and you bet i'll be tuned in non stop. Something i'd like to see in the future is maybe an episode on how he suggests to start off puppies on the right foot. Do's and don'ts of puppyhood Cesar's Way, you know?

I get such a huge kick out of the two bulldog episodes. I have a Curly Coated Retriever pup (11 months now, and NOT my first Curly) who is just about as busy as the bulldogs. I KNOW he knows, but HAS to do whatever it is. I still haven't been able to stop him from jumping up and I try every day! Years ago when I got my first Curly, the breeder told me "they will try you", and he does every day. (I have three other dogs: another Curly and two Labs)

I to would like to hear about how to start a puppy off right, we are getting a boerboel in July. I have never owned a dog that large before, we have always had Ridgebacks.

I love the episode about Sparky becoming a therapy dog and JonBee who's owners were awesome people. I love the episode with the actress who's son blew me away with his sensitivity to dogs. His old dog died and Cesar helped them pick out a new dog. It broke my heart when he couldn't have the dog he wanted but he gave in to get the dog that was a better suited companion for their other dog and family life. It's hard to pick a favorite. Every episode brings tears to my eyes.

dear ceaser will u ever be comeing to the uk and if so when i would love to go to one of your cenimars i have 6 dogs in total and use your methods all the time thanks yours faithfully mrs l ciancio.
ps i have 5 poodles a old yorkie ansd a chihuahua .

I would love to see the episode of the Boxer named Bella.

My favourite episode is the one with the lady (and I'm sorry I can't remember her name) who had the anxiety. Cesar helped her with her therapy dog. The lady was so empowered at the end that she really didn't need a therapy. dog.

This episode really touched me. I shed a few tears of joy. I have also experienced some anxiety, not to the extent this lady did. With the help of Cesar's message and teachings my confidence continues to build. I now walk my Akita and Bouvier everywhere. I feel very calm and the dogs follow suit. It is such a wonderful experience that I never could have accomplished without Cesar.

To me this episode really shows how much Cesar is impacting people's lives and helping them overcome personal issues. He has opened a whole new world for this lady. Many other people are able to see the hope when they watch this episode. Bless you, Cesar.

I would like to see an episode devoted to how and why his personal pack came about? What ther stories are and how he helped them? Are any of them able to be adopted,or will they stay with him?
Also the skates he wears, where can you get them?

I am a "Dog Whisperer" fanatic! My family always makes fun of me. My youngest son bought me Cesaer's book last Christmas and not only did I read it but I have lent it out to many others - I think everyone who has a dog should have his book(s) and see his videos (I also think anyone with a powerful breed should be required to take the dogs to training classes & have special licenses). We had a Rottie for 12 years & she was the best behaved dog, but I put her through strict obedience training & never took anything with her for granted - I knew I had to be in total control at all times because of her size & strength. I know too many who just leave it all to chance.

I love many of the episodes, but the newer ones shows more of Cesaer's softer side. In episode 1 (which I also bought & plan on buying all of the seasons), I feel Cesear sometimes seemed afraid to show love & joy w/a dog. I understand that many of us are showing too much of those human emotions at the wrong times, but I think it turned some people off. So many I talked with said they felt he was all about discipline and nothing else (of course I came to his defense)! He seems much more affectionate with the dogs in the newer episodes.

I love the episodes with Sunshine & Teddy; Greta & Hoss, Storm & Chula; JonBee, Violet & Hudson; Kobe, Banjo & Kisses; and my youngest son & I loved Nasir's story.

As much as I love the shows & practice Cesaer's techniques, I am still having a lot of difficulty with my lab/shepherd mix. She is so afraid. We have come a long way & my vet says we have done a great job, but she is still very fearful. I also have a huge problem with her & my other dog, a purebred lab going crazy when it is time to walk.

I try to do everything Cesaer says. I try to get them ready real slow, steady & calm. I actually do everything in slow stages (get my shoes on, get their choke chains out, get Diamond's back pack out, etc...). Diamond whines, cries & howls the whole time & Lilly paces & groans & both try to rush the doors to the house and the car when I open them. It is such an ordeal I don't even enjoy walking them anymore & even though I know they need to walk more, I am walking them less because of it. After 15 minutes to a half hour of trying to get them ready for a walk & being calm & assertive, I eventually get frustrated.

Cesaer is amazing - there is just not enough of him to go around!! :) When I saw the episode where he came to Hudson, OH, I flipped because he was so close to where we live! Before that I never thought he would ever come to Ohio.

Thanks Cesaer for all you do!

We can't thank Cesar enough for teaching us about our dog, "Willie." I try every day to be a better pack leader; this has transformed life with our dog.

Cesar inspired me to begin therapy dog training. We seek out people and dogs to meet. At the same time, CM teaches how to read canine body language, so now I do not allow Willie to greet an unstable dog. I didn't know how to do this BC, Before Cesar!

I watch all Cesar's DVDs and learn something new every time. We are trying to deal with Willie's high prey drive towards cats, squirrels and rabbits. Cesar has given us some techniques to use, whereas before, I felt hopeless.

I taught my family, "No touch." No talk. No look." The other day, our two-year-old great nephew said "SHHH" and pointed at Willie, who lay down and rolled over for a pat on his stomach! So my favorite episode is with "Lily," a white Standard Poodle. Cesar shows kids and adults how to deal with her, a friendly, but energetic dog. From that episode I learned to teach my family, including the toddler, to be pack leaders! Wow! Thank you, Cesar Millan and your family, from me, Willie, and our family.

Cesar's training has taught me SOOOO many things about dogs. Not only do I use that knowledge and wisdom with my own three dogs, but I use it with my four cats, too!

My favorite episode is about Kane, the Great Dane who was afraid of slippery floors. It was that episode that truly taught me how to handle a fearful dog. It's not only slippery floors that we can apply Cesar's techniques to. It's about all fears ... I rescued a small Shih Tzu-Bulldog mix from a puppy mill in September 06. This little girl, Frankie, who is about 4 years of age, was afraid of everything, including me and my family. After watching Cesar handle Kane, it jumped out at me. I am the LEADER around here, I have VISION of what is going to happen, and I am going to MAKE it happen. After working with Frankie for just a few minutes, I saw amazing results.

These things take time, and Cesar's reminder of consistency is a lesson well learned. Frankie is almost balanced, but "almost" isn't good enough. We're getting there. Part of the problem is that Frankie had grown up in a crate that was too small for her, and she could not fully stand up. As a result, her front legs & paws fused quite deformed. I can't take her for long walks because of this, so I wondered what Cesar would do .... improvise! Her rear paws are OK, and I discovered that she loves to jump. So we have her jump and jump and jump at toys, which releases negative energy.

Be creative with Cesar's lessons. Your dogs will love you for it :)

New episode!!! Thank God!!!

I love that Cesar respects women but also empowers them. My favorite was the one at the women's correctional facility. That was a really uplifting show.

Any episode with "Daddy" in it is great! I love that dog.
Cesar has taught this old dog alot in the past year or so.

I've watched Dog Whisperer now for about seven months. I've been a cat-lover at heart, but I fell in love with "BUTCH~THE BULLDOG FROM TEXAS." This episode is my absolute favorite!

The camera shots are wonderful on this show and I appreciate the format which has Cesar teaching us about "the anatomy of a dog" and even why he got bit by Butch. It gave the audience a glimpse into Cesar's professionalism and his dedication to his work, as well as his personal character. This is demonstrated on every program and because of his willingness to be transparent, I believe it draws people to become faithful fans. And this particular show sold me on the Dog Whisperer. It was a "teaching" episode on so many levels. Thank you Cesar, for your commitment to rehabilitate our dogs (and train us!)

Blessing to you and yours!

I have a soft spot in my heart for the English Bulldogs and they are my favorite episodes. I have 2 rescued Bulldogs and a mutt that was dumped off, couldn't be happier! Thanks Cesar for teaching us as much as you do!

Cesar, please oppose AB1634!
California really could use a strong advocate for pets.
I love your show, think you are doing a great job, but, I think you missed the mark supporting a law which will create such harm to the pet owning community.

Being a victim of Hurricane Katrina myself, I have to say the "Katrina" episodes are my favorite. There are still dogs very much affected by the tragedy, and an occasional stray that appears to have gone mad, still roaming the streets. I rescued several animals myself, keeping them in my already damaged home, knowing that they were better off here than running the streets or being in harms way. My second favorite episode is the JonBee story. Any one else would have given up on him. JonBee's owners and Cesar were the guardian angels in this case. It just proves that there is ALWAYS hope! Too many people just give up too easily! Not Cesar! Love ya Cesar!

Wow, I logged on here a couple days ago and posted about my favorite episode, and the posting's not here! How strange.

Anyway, my all-time favorite segment, hands down, is "Major Jones". I cry every time I see it, and I've seen it multiple times!

I, too, really like the one with the woman who has anxiety and is qualifying her dog to become a service dog. I love it when she has the "party with the pit bulls" at Cesar's center!!

Those are my two faves! I hope this post works this time.

K2

To Shelley,

I have the same issues with my two dogs. I have a Lab/Shepherd mix too, and a Lab/Coonhound. I also had a previous dog for a really long time (18 years!) and she was the best-behaved dog anyone had ever known. She was always under my total control (purebred black Lab). Well, with these two, Hobie, my Lab/Shepherd barks the entire time I'm putting on my shoes, getting the leashes, etc. Hector doesn't bark but he is totally excited. I try to be sure they are all calm before I put the leashes on and before I leave the house, but it is nearly impossible. I practice all the same techniques you mentioned. By the time we leave the house I'm already exhausted! lol And I have lessened the walks considerably over the past several years too. When they were younger, I would walk them 2 hours a day. Once Hector (Lab/Coonhound) reached 3 years of age, full-grown, he became really "hound-like" and the two of them are a LOT for me to handle. I do OK though. We still have certain problems, and I wish I could have a private session with Cesar!! lol!! I know (intellectually) what to do, but APPLYING the techniques on-the-spot when you're in a stressful situation (encountering other dogs) isn't that easy.

Just thought I'd share!

I Love the episode with "Stormy" (the 1st episode I ever watched and got me hooked on the show)I love the editing with the Italian music playing when Storm won't eat the Chicken Parmesan that his human Mom made him. Hilarious !

Would you give a few examples of "Boundaries" and "Limitations"? I am clear about "Rules" but not so clear about the differences between boundaries and limitations. Thanks, I do appreciate it!! Brandy

It would be nice to have all the first two seasons of episodes aired.

I had printed out all the first three seasons listed on NGC web site. And only a few of the first season have I seen. Seems mostly season three, current one, is re-run many times, but hardly ever the first two.

Not complaining. Enjoy them all.....

Harley and Ruthe Shanko

First of all let me say I love watching Cesar Milan on his show(Dog Whisperer). I'm so hooked on this show I record all his shows on my DVR. I think the best episode and it's one of my favorites. Is the one with the female aggresive pitbull name Emily. How he managed to control her problem. I have a passion for pitbulls just like Cesar. I acutally wish I was able to rehabilitate my male pitbull Zeus. He's very aggresive toward other dogs and stangers. I'ts getting to the point where my husband is getting tired of him he has caused us alot of legal problems and finacial situations. I love my dog till death, I'm actually scared of him harming somebody else because of his aggression. My husband is think of putting him down, I don't want that for Zeus. I just wish there was something I could do to help my husband and I, but most important to help my
Zeus to save him. I would do anything and whatever it takes for him to get a chance to live a normal and happy dog life. If anybody can help me with advice or just anything. Even you Cesar Milan the master of rehabilitaing all animals. That would mean a lot to me! Thank you all for your time

I have a 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier that I have had since he was a small pup. I have always had trouble taking him outside on a leash without him pulling hard, so he doesn't go outside as much as he needs.

He barks sometimes when we leave and our apartment neighbors get upset. I have made some adjustments and this is better but still occurs occasionally.

He is paper trained but still urinates around the house if I'm not home to let him out. We're getting ready to move to a house and I would like to start fresh with new furniture and no smells.

I have been a big Dog Whisperer fan from the beginning of the series and have learned a lot but I'm still having problems with these things. Could you please help? Thanks.

hello,
my name is jacob and i was wondering what if you could help me with my dog she is half lab half pit and she has such a hard time not biting at people and i have tried pretty much everything i could. and i dont want to put her down she is a nice dog i just dont know what to do.... PLEASE HELP!!!

The episode that "Made me ball like a baby"! was,(Good tears though) Coach, the Boxer whose family was at wits end with his ferocious behavior, lunging at there back fence so hard at passers by, it almost looked to me like it would come unlatched! Among other bad habits, but on the other hand was this adoring lovable pet to there son and family. They were up to the decision to put him down, suggested by there vet I believe? When Cesar comes to save the day! It amazed me and will forever be a reminder of how NOT to judge a dog by his cover! Thank you Cesar, for training us, and rehabilitating our pets!

KANE AND THE SHINY!!!

#31 Brandy--good question. I often wonder about the same thing. I'm very clear about my boy Willie's rules, but get a little "fuddled" about the differences between boundaries and limitations. For me, Cesar's other mantra of "Exercise, Discipline, Affection" keeps me focused in working with Willie. And, my days go much better when I work with him in this context. Not a bad plan for humans as well!

I would really like to work with Cesar and my 6 dogs.2 Pekes, 2 chihuahuas 1 rat terrier and my Golden Retriever Service dog,
y main problem is excessive barking. As you can tell by the service dog I'm disabled. However I work witha dog rescue group and do dog addoptions. I need help before my neighbors complainto animal services,
thank you,
Linda Harrison

I live in a very rural part of Kansas, and I've noticed that horses are very much like dogs. No one would ever allow a horse to lead and control the handler. TThe horse could easily injure the handler. The same goes for dogs. Too many people allow their big powerful breeds to run their lives. You also can't be really excited around a horse; the same goes for dogs.

Another thing, it's not fair that powerful breeds are getting such a bad rap, and smaller breeds are not. Some people let their toy breeds run around and disturb larger dogs. The larger dog may try to keep away from the smaller dog, but the smaller dog keeps antagonizing him. The larger dog tries to discipline tthe smaller dog, but the owner of the smaller dog panics and claims that the larger dog "attacked" the smaller dog. It's not fair to the powerful breeds because the smaller dogs get to be "unbalanced" and irritate the larger dogs. The larger dogs much do everything they can to tolerate the smaller dog; they know that the smaller dog needs to be corrected!

I own a 90 lbs. Pitbull/ Labrador mix whose name is Murphy, and I have to make sure that he stays "balanced." Being on a farm, I found it beneficial to have a draft dog. In the winter, he pulls a wagon full of wood up to the house--we have a wood burning stove as our source of heat in the winter. I used to live in Memphis, TN, so he pulled a large truck tire around the neighborhood for his work-out. Every one who has ever met him has loved him! They often ask what breed he is--thinking a full blooded Lab because he's so good with children and other dogs--I just tell them that he's a Pitbull mix.

I also own a 60 lbs. Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix whose name is Tank, and I must make sure that he stays "balanced" as well. He has a very high energy level and can be very strong-willed, at times. I have also trained him for drafting, even though he can not pull as much as my Pitbull mix. He has a natural herding instinct, which is also beneficial on a farm.

My favorite breeds of dog are the Pitbull, Rottweiler, American Bandogge Mastiff, and the Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). BSL is in no way, shape, or form a good idea. Maybe there should be a class that you have to take in order to own a powerful working breed.

America needs to realize that Cesar is a blessing! Most dog trainers who don't think disciplining a dog is good for the dog probably don't discipline their children either. What better way to communicate what you expect to the dog than by the way they do in the wild--"pack mentality."

EXERCISE! DISCIPLINE! Then, AFFECTION!

I fell absolutely in love with Cesar and his show when I visited my Sister in CA last June. Shortly after I got back to GA, I got Directv (my cable did not air "Dog Whisperer" and I HAD to be able to watch!
My favorite episodes, thus far, are "Pups on Parole", Woody, Wally & Kane" (I have 2 poms!) and one I can't find on the episode page. Can't remember the name, but Cesar was helping a rescue group in Southern CA, that rescued, rehabed & adopted out dogs they had rescued from Mexico. That was a real heart stopper! Also, as someone else had mentioned, I would LOVE to see an episode about how Ceasar's Pack was formed, where they all came from, etc. from the start. Plus a History episode of How Cesar himself got started with the whole thing. I'd really be interested in seeing the stories of all of that!
Does Cesar have a book out with the story of his life, and how he came to be the "Dog Whisper"?
Cesar is one of the 2 people I would most like to meet.
Will he ever be coming to do a seminar in Atlanta, GA !

I have 2 episodes stored in my DVR for when I need to review Cesar's amazing talents. The first is his tour of his psychology center where he shows us how he feeds all of the dogs and plays with them.
The other episode I've kept is the one where Cesar helps the Post Office Workers. It doesn't get any better. I have 4 dogs and I'm trying to break them of the habit as well. Not near as good as Cesar but I'm trying!!

My favorite eposides are the two concerning Katrina rescues.
Especially isis and tina, nugget and katrina dogs.

I loved the Katrina Dogs, Part 2 episode! So much went bad for people and animals during that storm, and stories of happy reunions are much appreciated. I hope to see another update on the rest of the K-dogs Cesar helped rescue. They all deserve great homes and happy lives, especially after all they've survived!

I really enjoyed the episode at the woman's correctional facility, because it showed that no matter where you are in life--canine or human if someone cares it can change your life.

Hello, someone told me to try to contact Ceser I have been trying and I can't find nothing to help. I have a 3 year old Austrilin Terrior. He is out of control, he bites me whenever he used the bathroom when he feels it is needed. Also He will snap at me if I get on my couch or my bed It has got to the point where I have to thro something at him before I can get on my bed. What can I Do

It's not possible to choose a favorite!! Cesar is always charming, informative, funny and just downright amazing. His gift is such a blessing and I'm so thankful that he shares it openly and with such enthusiasm. He has changed my way of thinking about dogs forever. I would like to see all of season 2 ran because I have only seen season one (DVD) and season 3.

We just got a new puppy and have started watching the show. Ceasar is wonderful. Even our puppy, Grady, watches the show. I have a great photo of OUR PUPPY WATCHING DOG WHISPERER and would love to email it into you. How can I send it to you?

i need help i have an eight year old pitbull female and an 18 month old rot-sheppard mix female and two lab mixes that are males. the rot-sheppard attacks my female pit when the males are around and they fight so fierce no one can break it up till both of them are bloody i have separated the females keeping them away from the males and when they are together alone they are fine. but with my families work schedules being opposite things happen and i cannot always guaranty that they all will stay separate. i need help or instruction on what to do to make them all act like on pack together.

My all time favorite episodes:

Banjo the Coonhound -- I love watching Cesar relate to this extremely shy former lab subject and I loved watching Banjo blossom into a lovely-tempered dog. Hounds are incredibly even-tempered animals and make excellent pets. Banjo and Cesar did a world of good for hounds!

I also really enjoyed the episode in which Cesar helped a couple who were expecting their first child and had some anxiety about the husband's dog (I forget the dog's name, but he was a pit-bull mix). My favorite part of the episode (which was narrated in verse) came after the birth of the child -- a little girl. Cesar visited the family after they brought the baby home and the father invited him to hold the baby. Cesar was so humbled and honored to be asked -- and he had a tear in his eye when he held the child and said "I've never held a little girl before!" because, of course, his experience with infants was with his two sons. It was just so touching and intimate and said more to me about Cesar as a person than all his other episodes put together. That single episode confirmed for me his authenticity, integrity, compassion and love for people and animals!

A show Ceasar could think of doing is about his own pack's stories, where they were before being rescued and how each dog fit into the pack. Ceasar empowering the woman at the correctional facility to train dogs whose lives were in jeopardy was the best in the series

Hey Cesar fans--have any of you received his June e-newsletter? Getting the latest Cesar news is usually a highlight of the first week of the month, but so far no June issue. Anyone else received it?

My favorite show is when Ceasar rehabilitated a little Maltese Poodle mix and helped the owner handle and groom her pet. I was in tears as Ceasar patiently worked with this dog, even endured getting bit, to calm the dog down and get a hair cut. I also love the show where he rehabilitated a boxer so his family didn't have to put him down. I was also in tears watching this episode. Normally I don't cry when watching the Dog Whisperer, but these two episodes moved me so much. I'm in awe of Ceasar and I hope he is always around for man's best friend.

Hello, I love the SHOW ! I have two 5 month old Bull Nose Pitbull. They are brother and Siter. I am looking for advise on how I can get them to stop fighting with each other. One is all bit up by the other. Now for the most part they are very loving , they sleep together and are great together, but there are times, they play too hard. I NEED HELP ?? Thanks

I got hooked on the show some months ago. I like to watch the dogs' behaviour be transformed. An obedient dog can be enjoyed by all. The way you gain control is awe inspiring.

My son and wife got an Australian Shepard/Lab mix. She is under 2. Since it was a gift from him to her I kept the dog for the first few weeks and housebroke her and began training her. However, she is so energetic and they work all day and when they get home she is uncontrollable. They wear out before she does and they have a home to maintain as well. What can they do to calm her. They have no dog park, Cannot take her to a park to run without a leash to play fetch and their yard is not big enough to wear her out. She has stopped coming to her name. She pees when she is greeted. Lots of problems and I think she has slipped into some bad habits. And I am afraid they are close to giving her up since they are so frustrated.

Cesear, Your program is a must see. I love all shows.
You have given my husband & I hope for our 3 year old yellow lab. Who doesn't like other dogs- was going to Doogie Day Camp for almost a month and then Boom! He snapped had 3 fights on the bus & 2 on playgound (all in one day) Doggie Day Camp gave our dog the big boot. We would love to have you come to our home, if this sounds like a good show.

I'm looking for products to help my son 4-H Show train our almost 11 year old corgs. Her hair wraps up around the shook chain they want him to use.

Hi my name is Marie Reyes, and I would like to let you know that I love your show. I have this Jack Russel Terrier and she is about 8 yrs. old. She was given to us by my brother in laws girlfriend last summer. She is a great dog, but the problem we have her is that she can not get along with other dogs. and she's come close to biting my 7 yr. old and another little girl. we don't want for that to ever happen again or for her to keep attacking other dogs. We wanted to take her to the dog park but we are afraid of her attacking another dog. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you, Marie Reyes.

Ceasar I absolutely LOVE YOUR SHOW, and I need some help with my great pyrenees, Sinclair doesn't like strangers and I need to know how to keep her from hurting someone. She also likes to leave the house and the only problem with that is she doesn't come back. I need to know how to keep her at our house before we have to give her away.

HELP - we have a deaf pit bull puppy who one minute is the most lovable pet you could want and in an instant will turn fiscious bitting and trying to hurt you. My husband has almost needed stitches when she turns on him biting him whereever she can get you. She is about 3 months old - solid white with black patch over her eye - just adorable. We all have scars from her bites and scratches. Would you be willing to talk with us by phone - you could call collect. We do not want to get rid of her but are afraid when full grown she will really hurt someone seriously. Jeanne Purvis

The first week of April this year I finally got my first dog, one I found on the adoptapet website. A male, 2-3 yr old german shepherd dog(pet type) named Zukko. The woman I got him from took him from her local shelter to help find him a pemanent home. She said he belonged to a breeder originally. But when they found out that they couldn't breed him they chained him in the yard and neglected him. She wasnt sure if he was beaten or not but it became apparent when we got him home and just how bad his neglect was.
One problem is: he doesnt know how to play at all. The woman tried all kinds of toys and could not find anything that interested him at all. I have also tried a few myself to no luck. And its not only toys. And hes so submissive, if he were to get excited and get in a play position, once I try to play with him he gets scared and shys away down to the ground.
Second, he becomes very scared if you throw anything. You dont have to even be facing or near him and he runs to hide anywhere he can. Even just tossing something up and down lightly in your own hand scares him.
Other things that scare him are just about everyone he makes contact with but me, fast hand movement, almost any loud noise including loud talking or even laughing, he hates being in a vehicle, more dominant personalities-men especially, walking by certain things like the grill and lawn chairs, and hates water at bathtime or at the lake.
He has actually come a long way with some other things but I dont know what to do about these. Im worried that hes not as happy as he could be, and with all these fears and that he has or is going to develop anxiety. We recently had him into the vets for a bad leg and found that he almost 100% has a breed based spinal tumor and a slipped intervertabrael disc. He will eventually lose the ability to walk altogether if the pain doesnt get to him first. Im afraid that with him being so young that it wont be very long before that happens.Besides the fact that since I cant play with him he has nothing to do for fun and is even afraid of me to a certain extent. I wish I could give him an even better life than what he has right now but dont know how to get past these or even help him become more confident in himself. Any help would be greatly appreciated by both Zukko and myself.
Thank you for such a wonderful and helpful show to give dogs another chance, and this opportunity to ask for help.

I love the Dog Whisperer show, but the music is TOO LOUD. Could someone PLEASE tone it down, so we can hear what Cesar and the people he's helping are saying? Thanks.

NOTE: #46 has an email address attached.

My family and I are the proud owners of three of the most adorable dogs this planet has ever seen. One is a Lab/Dobermin mix, one is a Siberian Husky, and the last, a mix we have yet to figure out. This dog, who we call Duke, is the reason I'm here. Today we took him to the vet to get his routine shots. He freaked out so bad that he could't even get his shot. He bit my little sister's hand when she tried to calm him down enough to get it. We have been having issues with him on our beds also. If he is laying on a bed with one of us; mainly myself and my mother, and someone tries to get on the bed or get him off, he will lash out and growl to the point where no one will try and move his out of fear. My entire family with the exception of myself is ready to give him up. If he has to leave this house, i want to know he is safe. Please... if you can't come and help us with this problem, i beg that you take him in as one of your own. I could not bare to see him go with anyone less. He is my entire heart. Thank you.

I must say that I do not understand why some critics of cesars techniques say that his training is too aggressive, and he is not affectionate. I do not think so at all. He is always calm, and sometimes the dogs even jump up and lick his face. He has slipped up a few times, and I am sure he realized when he did, but there is a difference between what he does (popping the leash) and choking or hanging a dog. Maybe some people focus too much on the training, and not on the times when he is giving the dogs affection for good behavior. He is always calm, and never hurts or yells at the dog, and always mentions excercise(which dogs love), discapline, and affection, but no matter what happens, the dogs always end up loving him for it.

I watch Dog Whisperer all the time. Its one of my favorite shows. My favorate all time episode is in the first season its called Churchill and Maya. I thought that the Maya part was funny and little Destiny was so cute. Ceasar seemed to turn her into a more manageable dog instantly and it was amazing to see Little Destiny walk her at the end. My dog had similar issues as Maya did. I did all the things Cesar suggested and my dog is much better.

First of all let me say I love watching Cesar Milan on his show(Dog Whisperer). I’m so hooked on this show I record all his shows on my DVR. I think the best episode and it’s one of my favorites. Is the one with the female aggresive pitbull name Emily. How he managed to control her problem. I have a passion for pitbulls just like Cesar. I acutally wish I was able to rehabilitate my male pitbull Zeus. He’s very aggresive toward other dogs and stangers. I’ts getting to the point where my husband is getting tired of him he has caused us alot of legal problems and finacial situations. I love my dog till death, I’m actually scared of him harming somebody else because of his aggression. My husband is think of putting him down, I don’t want that for Zeus.
Thank you all for your time. Thanks NatGeo

My family, friends, and co-workers know that Caesar Millan is my hero. I practice his techniques all the time with my dogs, especially with "Gabby", a pit-bull mix (a Hurricane Katrina Rescue). (Both my dogs have their Canine Good Citizenship--CGC.)

I vote for ANY episode that have been aired only once--or twice. For example, I have not seen the "guitar dog" episode here in South Texas. Please do not air the episodes that have already been shown 4 and 5 times. Since the show usually comes only weekly I arrange my busy schedule so as not to miss it. (Even the dogs are on "sit and stay" to watch the TV.) I do enjoy seeing an episode at least twice because I try to study either what Caesar is doing (his hands) or try to see what he sees before he even announces the dog's problem or behavior. But it is a drag when I am seeing a show for the 4th or 5th time.

I am ready for some new episodes. Thank you.

Help!!! Dear Cesar,
I have always had a dog. I have always been able to train the dogs to go outside to pottie. I have a yorkiepoo, age right at one and one half years old. His name is boobear. I have a terrier (I think I misspelled that), anyway he is 17 years old, and healthier than us! We started boo on "pee-pads", because when we got him, it was in the middle of winter, and there was at least a foot of snow. He really did great on the pads. Then, our son and his family and three "weiner" dogs had to move in for a short while. Their dogs went around marking everything in sight. Boo started doing the same thing. They moved out about a month later, but Boo kept up the bad habit. We just about have him going outside now, and he barks when he has to go out. But we have to put him in a cage at night, because when we are in bed he is a bad boy. Now we are getting ready to move in about two weeks or so. What is the best way to get him use to going outside when we do move? Cricket will be okay. There isn't a better or smarter dog anywhere than Cricket. But I am concerned about Boo and the brand new light colored carpet.

I love your show!!! It is so much fun to watch. You are amazing.

Thanking you in advance... Dottie the dog lover... :)

About a year ago my boyfriend rescued a Chihuahua, he is very loving most of the time with the family, however he has never gotten close to me (I don't live with him). We'll think we have breakthroughs where he'll sit with me and not tremor with fear, but then the next time I try to show him affection he snaps. He's peed on me, tried to bite me and always barks like he's never seen me before. He doesn't listen at all, and my boyfriends parents treat him like he is a grandchild, even refferring to themselves as grammy and grampy. I've owned dogs and trained them to be well behaved and accept strangers. And my boyfriend is as disgusted with his behavior as I am, but how can we change this when his parents undermind everything we try to do. Like he snapped at me one time and went straight for my neck and instead of punishing the dog, my boyfriend got yelled at for "pushing the dog on me". The dog is terrible on walks infact he hates them sometimes we have to drag him outside to even take one, he would rather run infront of a moving car then walk on the sidewalk next to people or another dog, we have to keep him on an extremely short leash, but nothing seems to work, he hates everyone that isn't his immediate family. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Dog Whisperer, we recently lost out chihuahua , Dancer ( 16yr old) to the poison pet food epidemic. We were devastated. I think we may be ready for another dog, but we don't want to choose the wrong one for our family energy. Could you help us to choose a good match? It seems like ,most of your shows involve well meaning people who choose the wrong type of dog for their family. WE WOULD LIKE TO START OFF RIGHT. Can you help us ? My husband ( the photographer )would like to get a big dog who likes to play and could be a watch dog, my daughter ( the dancer)wants a dog like a cocker spaniel who will be cuddly. I ( the nurse) would just like a dog who needs a home and would be a good companion. Can you give us some guidance ? Thanks we love your show and have learned alot and are loyal watchers. Can you help us out? p.s. if Daddy is available for adoption let us know! the Henry Family

I can't pick a favorite episode. I've learned so much from watching them all! I did, however, notice an error on the show with Amber, Snoopy, and Schroeder. They list Amber as being a Golden Retriever mix. I think that is a wrong classification. She looks exactly like an English Shepherd, and she acts like one, too! They are extremely high energy, and they live to please, but will take over if given the chance.

i have a few ideas perhaps you would be interested in, also can i get an autographed picture please?

first if you watch any of the police video shows you will notice the k9 units.the dogs are great at chasing people down and attacking them but the officers who handle them seem to have very little control. perhaps you could work with the people who train the dogs for the various police depts and teach them how to train the dogs show that they have more contol and have a more balanced dogs.

would love to see you do a tour with your pack and do seminars and demos to a wider and bigger audiance at local arenas etc as well as give local dog rescue people a chance to meet you.perhaps choosing one or two dogs to work with during your shows to the local audiance.

the last idea is perhaps you can have some sort of contest where the winner gets to meet you in person and recives an autograph as well as your dvd's and books and your other products as a prize.perhaps doing this once or twice a year.

Hello

I was wondering if there was a show or shows that address training new puppies? Most of the shows I have watched have been rescue dogs and their issues - how about practical instructions for new puppy owners?

Thank you

Dear Cesar,
My name is Natasha and I have a dog named Princess. She is a boxer and is dog aggressive. Shes about four years old. I can’t take her out for walks because I’m sacred that she will attack another dog. Once she gets in attack mode she wouldn’t get out of it. I have tried all the things you have told us on the show, it just doesn’t work. She is a very sweet dog. You can’t even tell she’s dog aggressive until she sees a dog. The last time I have taken her out for a walk she attacked a dog and I was so scared when she did. I haven’t taken her out ever scene. What do I do? Please I need your help!?

- Natasha

Hi there,

I missed the webinar on June 24th but am attending the September 1st seminar, hopefully Cesar will show the videos from the webinar at the seminar, that would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love watching the Dog Whisperer even though I don't currently own a dog. However, I plan on adopting a dog from a rescue shelter in the near future. This show can teach and prepare people who don't currently own pets before they adopt and give them a real advantage toward training their dogs correctly from the first day they bring home their new pet.

An episode I would like to learn about on the Dog Whisperer is one that actually occured in my neighborhood a couple of months ago. One neighbor's large Labrador dog mauled another neighbor's 3 year old daughter. The little girl is fine now and has had plastic surgery as the dog bit off part of her ear and part of her skull. Of course the whole neighborhood was extremely upset as we have lots of children and elderly alike who live here. The question I would like answered should I ever see a similar episode of this nature is what can bystanders do in the event of such an attack. The little girl's father who is a good size man had a great deal of trouble pulling that dog off of the little girl. The parents of this little girl wants this dog to be put down as this same dog had already attacked two other dogs in the neighborhood previous to that event. But what do we do if a dog actually attacks a human. I would love to know.

Is there help for experienced dog owners who have not fully "mastered" calm assertive energy? I have 3 dogs. A lab mix (of 8yrs), an aggressive boxer mix(7.5 yrs), and a pit bull(2yrs), that I rescued from the Hurricane Katrina aftermath. I have always owned dogs. I thought I was exhibiting very strong pack leadership, until two weeks ago. My spayed female boxer jumped my neutered male pit bull. The ensuing fight was awful and it escalated way too fast for me. I feel that my boxer mix is a red zone case, and the horrible fight has racked my confidence in my own dog handling skills. I have had the animals together most of the time with no problem. I am certain that the boxer intended to KILL the younger pit bull. I do not want to have to find homes for either animal because I truely believe in rehabilitation, and finding a home for either of these dogs would be very challenging. I have done quite a bit of dog training/obedience already. I have worked with two trainers. And I am currently using Cesar's techniques with my animals. My fiance says at times I have nervouse energy which is triggering the agression of the boxer. How do "I" get rehabilitated? And how do I deal with this red zone situation? I am willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks

To clarify, I did not adopt all three dogs as a result of the Hurricane Katrina tragedy. I have owned 2 of them for about 8yrs; and my most recent addition I adopted as a result of the hurricane aftermath. Thanks.

I would love some help with my 6 year old Belgian Malinois-I cannot have him around smaller children since he trys to bite at them-he has been this away ever since a pup-this weekend my 10 year old nephew was visiting with his 16 year old brother-no problem with the older boy-but even after being pet by the 10 year old-my dog took every opportunity to try to bite at him even after being reprimanded-I am convinced this is an inbred trait with the shepherd and he views smaller children as sheep-the nipping however got stronger and I had to sequester him because his last "nip" was more of a bite. Is there a way to cure him of this-he is aware that it is bad but tries to do it behind my back-Obviously I can not have him around children like this.

for me it is impossible to choose a favorite episode, they are all so special for different reasons i could never be able to say that i like one better than another
and when it comes to cesar,he is definitelly second to none.
what beautifull job he does, and with each episode he is not only helping the dog and owner in the show, but he is helping so many people be better animal owners and gives them the tools that are needed to start making changes in the way we see, treat and train ouer beloved friens (dogs).

I don't know that I have a favorite episode, but one of my favorite moments was the laugh out loud seen with Nicki the Rotweiller who got her self accidently going backwards on the treadmill and then finally corrected herself. My husband and I were clutching our sides. So cute and a touching episode at that.

Although I dont currently own a dog due to (divorce), I would like to acknowledge Cesar on his total professionalism in dealing with his clients (both human & animal). Take notice reality show or NGC (people) on Cesars approach and committment to his work. Mr. Millan your sincerity and love for dogs truly shows, dont change the format of the show in any way. Thank you

I just bought a DVD that has three shows on it. I have never watched it before but always wanted to just dont have this channel on my cable packadge. I have a 19 month old rottie and she is scared to death of getting her nails clipped. When she was a puppy I took her to get them trimmed and they get them way too short. Since then I have had to sedate her and muzzle her to do them and even then it was horrid. Tonight after watching the show I put her leash on her and put my hand on the top of her neck and got her laid down. Then I started to grab the nail clippers. She the first three times tried to get away. I was calm and persisant and well within 15 minutes her nails were all cut and I had no scratches heck I didnt even break a sweat. I was amazed at how easy it was and well I have to say I think the show is great. Thank you -Heather-

I had to work to untrain my dog and retrain him. It wasn't easy but I did improve by watching your shows. Not a full pro but always learning something new. Glad you could be very helpful. However still have some issues but hoping a show comes up very soon, to help me in any way possible. You are so amazing and my family gets upset if we can't see your show. Still haven't found any of your video or books to buy, but we keep looking and maybe one day we will find something. Love the quizes you give on your site those help as well. Once again thank you!!!

Jane Savva hey I found 3 eposide DVD's at Shopko. Dont know if u have them where u are but just thought I would let u know.

I've read some of the same complaints over and over tonight and since my first word was "doggie"; I grew up around dogs; I used to be a vet tech and pet groomer (appx 10 yrs); am a volunteer at our local shelter and have a 4 dog clan ranging from 8-months (appx 80 lbs)to 12 yrs, the four of them keep me quessing and reading up on anything I can get my hands on, I feel as some what of an expert. The one question that I saw the most was, dogs eating their or other dogs' feces. There are a number of reasons I've heard of this, the main one being the food wasn't fully digested so it tasted good for this add a little pineapple to the dogs diet. Since I see more dogs eat cat feces for the reason being that it still has flavor in it that is appealling (as with their own) but I don't know about putting pineaple in a cat's diet. As to why the dogs' feces still has a good flavor to it, I'm sure Cesar or your vet can answer that. As far as the lady that worried about 2)DOG BOWING EXCITEDLY in front of her dog, that's easy, that is a sign for "Let's play" it is not an aggressive sign like she thought. 3)PINCH CHOKE OR THE LIKE COLLARS- I have been using the ajustable padded halter for my 8 month old giant (I started fostering him when he was 2 weeks old, sure looked to be a (light)yellow Lab then then morphed through White Shepard with Dalmation skin to Pit Bull (Face/chest only)and when we had to finally make up something for his rabies tag when he was 3-4 months, we stuck on Lab-Retriever X. By that time he did voice and hand signal obeyed to: sit; shake; lay; fetch; toy(his tug toy)and heal, unfortunetely I haven't been able to do much lead training related to my 3rd back surgery coming up Monday. So his only exercise has been fetch but lead training him is my top goal as soon as I get my surgeons "go ahead", it will be good for the both of us. I know it's a bad habit but I let him on my bed, in fact he's laying on my legs right now (ninty lbs maybe, lol).
My favorite quote-"The greatness of a nation is reflected in how they treat their animals". Gandhi

I have a pomapoo who is just over one year...i am due to deliver baby any day now ...i have been babysitting for other babies & noticed that my dog Wickett does not like anyone to bother the baby, or to be told to leave the baby alone....i am the one he messes with the least on the baby issue. I wonder what he is thinking, or if i can help him adjust to a possable problem before it arrises. My husband and the dog face off, never breaking skin but scare tactics, i think he is being protective.

Hello Cesar Millan

I'm an owner of a now 8yr. old Great Pyrenees, I'm worried about Max, he is way under weight, we got him when he was 8 wks. old he grew so fast. But as he got older he never picked up weight. In talking to his VET, they want to run all kinds of very expensive test and I can't afford it. But he up to date on his shots. Also Max eats wood before he eats his food, why? I love my Max to death. The vet said that Max needs to be on a high cal. diet, again the food is very expensive, Max would need to eat at least 3-4 cans a day. Science Diet, can't afford that.

PS: I love your show, "Cesar Millan......HELP!!!!!!!!"

Thank you Renee B.
