I have a 2 yr old pit/whippet mix that i adopted at 8 months. She had never had a home until she came to me and is very attached and still somewhat skittish. She is a great, friendly, well adjusted dog, she just needs me in her vicinity to feel comfortable. As an example, if i am outside in the yard with her and a friend, she could be playing with my friend, but if i go in my house, she becomes uncomfortable left with the friend alone and runs to the door to be let in with me.
She loves to travel with me, but does not like being left alone in the car, even for ten minutes or less. When I leave her in the car, she stares at me until i am out of site, and then barks until i return. It is not a frenzied bark, its more a scared bark, every minute or so until i return. If she could talk, i think her barks would be saying something like; 'why did you leave me?, or sort of an alert to remind me where she is, where i can find her. I obviously never leave her for long, and always in optimal conditions. I just don;t like her getting so upset, but would rather bring her with me than leave her home. Any advice would be appreciated.
thank you
lauren

This is my favorite show!
If Cesar could come to our home & help our Old English Sheep Dog, Chadwick's barking, we would be very appreciated.

Sincerely,
Chae Wheeler

Lauren-

Your girl will always have that attatchment and want to be with you, but one way that you might be able to help her to not be so shy around other people is to bring her out to places like starbucks, or other dog friendly coffee shoppes. My dog is a rescued whippet mix too, and he is very attatched to me. He does not bark, but he does stare at me until the time that I get back if I leave him alone. That is not uncommon, but the barking does suggest that it is a bit more uneasy for her to be left alone. I will usually leave the ac and radio on for mine and just lock all of the doors in the car. If you bring her out to a coffee shoppe, politely ask if someone the would not mind holding her leash and/or taking her attention off you. This is a minor thing that associates her with trusting another person besides you. The more that it happens, the more she adapts. Just keep doing what youre doing (taking her places) and she will meet more and more new people. Try to find a doggie day care that you can take her to once a week or so, which you can drop her off to play with other dogs and different people without your presence. Find a friend who will be willing to help you on this issue, and bring your dog over to his/her house and drop her off for a few hours, a couple of times a week. Try having a friend take her out for a walk without you there. Soon she will learn to trust others, but that will not take away the attatchment that she has to you.

Hi! I have 7 Great Danes and only one of them is well behaved. One semi-trained but stubborn. The rest are 5 siblings 4 girls and one boy and they are 7 months old. They love to play rough with each other and it scares me sometimes. I would like to know the best way to socialize these dogs and get their gentle trait in tact. How do a get a pack of dogs not to jump on strangers or relatives who come by to see them? How do I establish order with these puppies and let them know I am the alpha dog? Please help!

HI!
Since we both are from Mexico.
Congratulations with the excellent work you guys are doing.

Bye!

Dear Cesar,Please consider reshowing the episode with the woman who had an infant, lived in Chicago with her husband who was a successful chef and their dog who hated going for walks in the alley. The same principles you taught her can be applied to anyone who has a dog or not, who is presented with difficult, scary and unruly situations such as cancer (which I choose to view as a health opportunity for me!). This particular show gave me much needed inspiration and positive reinforcement to successfully live a balanced and happy life. Thank you for your wonderful wisdom! I taped the show in April but it got erased!

I LOVE MY PUPPY AND I DONT WANT HER TO GO AWAY!!!!!

p.s we love ur show!!!!!!!

CESAR, WHY DON'T YOU DO A SHOW ABOUT PUPPIES AND GETTING THEM OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT. I HAVE A 12WK OLD BLACK LAB AND COULD USE SOME HELP.
THANKS

Hello everyone,

I love the show and I don't even have a dog ! I live in New York city for the past 4 1/2 years and I am amazed on how many dogs there is in Manhattan. Everyone lives in 500sf apartment and still have dogs. All the dogs here are so well behave, you go run in central park and there is hundreds of dogs all playing together never fighting in parks. Is it because in New York city dog are social and so much in contact with others via dog walkers and parks that they are so sweet ?

I have a male Golden Retriever who is a little over 2 years old his name is Clyde. I have had him since he was 3 months. He has always been a pretty good dog, besides his jumping on people. He has had a couple of acts where he has pinned another dog on their back, but had not hurt any of the other dogs until Friday. He pinned a boxer and put at least 10 puncture wounds all over the other dogs body. And Clyde did not have a mark on him. Every time this has happened no one has been in the room to see if he was provoked or not. This scares me because I also have 4-year-old female golden and 2 cats. I am trying to decide what needs to be done with Clyde to assure the safety of my other animals. Any suggestions?

Ceasar, your show is wonderful. It has been such a blessing as we have used some of your techniques and they work beautifully.I tell people to watch your show even if they don't have a dog!!! We have a tiny toy poodle named Lola. She is loving, smart, & sweet. She is presently 6 months old and has been an amazing addition to our family already. I do need some help when it comes to bed time. Lola was in a bigger kennel but after watching one of your shows where this one small dog was barking when his owner went to work & was about to be evicted for it until you came to the rescue. So we bought Lola a smaller kennel. She still cries/screams for the first while that she is in there & scratches hard to get out. If there is something that I need to do to help her not do that, I would love to know what that is as I am sure she doesn't enjoy it either. I would love to see something like that on your show so that I could apply your teaching and help give our puppy some peace. You are an awesome teacher and thank you for helping us be better dog owners!!! Sincerely Cathy

My wife and I really enjoy the show. We have 2 Golden Retriever puppies (7 months) that are great, but one has some issues when we try to take them for a walk. One loves walks and she is very easy to control during them, but the other is very anxious or fearful of being on a leash. When we put a leash on her, she immediately lays down and will not move. We have tried lots of encouragement and treats she would not normally receive, but nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, great show!

I saw your episode with the three German Shepherds, called Threes a Crowd and didn't really see anything accomplished. I saw the dog got along with other dogs but that not what the lady needed help with. Her three shepherds still didnt get along. Its easy to get dogs to except othere dogs off of there packs territory, but hard to get them to exceptthem within the pack. Even if your the dominating force they still want to ingintate there place in the pack over them. I didn't see you solve the main problem of this pack. The dogs still can't live together.

I have a beautiful 20 month GSD I adopted after losing my previous GSD. I have had him now for 6 months. He was the 3 male in a breading kennel and was keep in a kennel from 8 weeks to 12 months. It took a bit but he has come to trust me. I had to teach him how to play, that riding in the car was a good thing and he has come to love walks.

I am open for suggestions on an issue...............while he will sit and wait calmly while I put his leash on if he is in the car he will run and stay out of my reach if he see a leash in any other situration. I have calmly sat and called him for over 15 minutes to get him to come to me so we can put the leash on and walk out the front door for a walk..........It's not going to happen. He runs up smiling and turns w/in 3 feet and runs in the other direction. If his collar is grabed (even just walking by so I can put his leash on he gets a look of absolut terror. When I take his collar I reenforce by petting and rubbing that this is a good thing immediatly put on the leash and go for a walk (which he LOVES). I know he trust me because he is a shadow I can't go into the bathroom w/o him coming and laying down next to me.......but the leash thing drives me nuts. I have left it down so it is familar and he goes up and smells them when they are hanging up but I better not pick it up and put it on him unless he is in the care.............got any suggestions?

Hello Ceasar!

I have a 4yr old Pit Bull Staffordshire Mix. He is constantly barking, pullin on his leash, trying to run after busses, cars and other dogs. I have tried the leash pulling to refocus his attention or the "ssshhhh" and finger pointing. He is a very very strong large dog and I am constantly afraid that he will hurt other dogs. BUT . . . . He is very loving and obedient in his back yard it's when we are out in the neigborhood walking or in the park? Please S.O.S.... S.O.S. . . . !

I buy him all kinds of toys....which all end up chewed up and destroyed the next day~ The mammoth bones from Petco are gone in 2 days! Do you know how expensive those are?

Love , Natalie Ceballos and Family #1FANS!!!!!

Hi!
I have a german shepard mix, Duke, who thinks he is pack leader. He runs away if we let him out and messes around with my neighbors chickens and anything that comes in his path. One day he brought home a plucked, scared to death chicken and a wild hare. He doesn't come when he is called anywhere. He drags us on walks so I bought him a prong collar. We also have a sheltie who he is so gentle with and he also protects her. We brought him to lessons and he only learned to sit and lie down only when he feels its nescessary. I want him to come when I call him and listen to me before he gets himself hurt or killed by traffic. Please give me some tips on what to do. Thank you.

My right arm is scarred as if I've been in a war zone! In December I adopted a mixed breed "Cassie PITA (Pain In The A__)" who is about 1+ years old.
She is extremely jealous of my 14+ year-old, half blind, arthritic dog and a pest to other dogs. She nips at all of them until she gets to know them -- except Bailey, a small beagle, this one she torments.
I've tried obedience training with her and feel all excited with new ideas when we return home. HOWEVER, by the time I get home from work, change clothes, and relax a little, and have something to eat, my motivation is gone.
We go to the desert about 5:30 a.m. 6 days a week so she can burn off energy. Our temperatures are 100+ degrees in the summer, so evening walks are out of the question. To make matters worse, I'm a very heavy person and have chronic asthma; there are days I can barely walk due to the asthma. Thus, we go to the desert so she can run.

Plus:
1) She sits and will lay down
2) pulls on leash -- unless a pinch collar is used
3) a real cutey -- which is part of the problem

Negatives:
1) Jumps on everyone. I tried the knee in the chest procedure to no avail; she just attacks from behind -- bites my backside.
2) Jumps and grabs my arm "on the fly" to avoid the 'knee'; hence the scarring on my arm.
3) Barks incessantly in the morning at my older dog, nips at her feet, and he barking is irritating neighbors.
4) "Come here" -- if she's not distracted by something else.
5) Barks in car with excitement as we're heading out to the desert to meet her other dog friends. On these 3 days, besides Cassie and Gypsy, there are two other dogs in the car -- a St. Bernard and a Dachsund -- a total of 4 dogs; things can get quite noisy

I watch the shows all the time, but watching and trying to practice what Cesar preaches are two different things.

HELP

Ceser, I really agree with greg that would be cool if you did have a puppie show. I Have a Shelltie terrier who is 5WK's old.He is good For a pup. But needs a little help from you.I love Dog Whisperer. I like to watch it!!!!!!!! And I really Want you to write back please.

Hi Ceasar,
We love your show and we don't even own a dog.
My question to you would be, How do we find the dog that is right for us and how do we start to train it?
We are a small family with two cats and a small house.
I would love for you to come help us when we get our dog.
You probably don;t want to come to Oregon though.
Sincerely,
Kristi Shepherd

Hi Ceasar,

I love the Dog Whisperer. My family just got a new puppy (Buddy)who is almost 4 months old and a shepherd chow mix. I am very happy with his progress. However, I live on a lake and Buddy is not comfortable swimming. The summer swim season doesn't last very long in Michigan and days warm enough to swim are not guaranteed, so I can't take Buddy swimming every single day. How do I help Buddy learn to enjoy the water and not be afraid?

Thank you.

I am thrilled with the show, there has never been anything like it. The "Dog Whisperer" is the most innovative educational show I've ever seen. Cesar's techniques are unprecedented and I'm so glad someone recognized his unique ability and had the insight to bring him to the attention of an American audience starving for solutions to problems that had heretofore never been addressed.

Thank you Cesar.

Cesar
My dog is a one year old Yorshire Terrier, Anya. She's going through false pregnancy and she is always crying and whining. I love her alot but i don't know how to help her.

Hi..
I would like to know how to get Cesar to come to my house and stop my German Shepherd mix from barking at everyone and everything! Also some tips on how to get her to lose weight without cutting her down too much...she gets mad when I do that.

Is there a contest or something that people enter to get Cesar to come to ther house?

Thanks,
Susan O'Day

Cesar,
I am a very big fan of your show and have learned a lot of things from you. I have a dog too. One day my goal will be to donate $10,000 to your dog rescue place in Los Angeles. I really want you to show the episode about a great dane that had a bad experience on shiny floors where he slipped and smashed into a window and did not want to go on a shiny floor at all. I beleive his name was Caine. Hopefully you will put this episode on T.V.

I have a dog named Maxie that is a Yorkshire Terrier that is 10 months old. He pulls and tugs on his leash when we go on a walk. He gets over excited when some new dog or human comes near him. He sometimes eats his own droppings.

What can I do? Is it possible for you to come to my house and help my dog? If so, how?

I have a miniature Dachshund and a Cockapoo. The Dachshund is only 1 years old and is very mean to my cockapoo Sparky, He is 15 years old. Dobby (Dachshund) fights with Sparky all the time and bites him a lot and my family and i am worried that if this keeps going Sparky will pass away sooner. Dobby also barks all the time during the day but he finally tires out for a bit but goes back to barking. He pulls peoples hair when they come over and he tries to bite them and it is horrible! Can you help us with our puppy problems?

Thanks! Elaina Farmer.

Helen,
That episode is called "Imaginary Walls" and the dog's name is Jane. It re-airs quiet often, keep an eye out for it.

My sister and I watch your sow regularly and enjoy it very much. We have 4 dogs, a cat and a degu between us. They were all rescues except one. 8yr male Pom, 7 yr male Shih Tzu, 2yr female Shih Poo,3yr cat and a 1yr female Golden Retriever. The shih tzu live in seaperate home. When they visit, the little ones are great together except the little female. She seems fearful of the large retriever and snaps while the retriever even gets down and lays for her to come to her. The retreiver wants so much to play but the Shih Tzu are not responding and become minorly aggressive to her. The Shih female can be nasty to the Pom at times but we think that is just the cycle that will be gone when she is fixed.
We are both busy and do not walk the dogs as much as we should but it would be easier if they could get along. All of these animals are loving and wonderful companions to us amd we want to get them together more.

Dear Ceaser!!!

I like love your show it is like awsome!! Me and my parents and little brother watch it all the time and i just love it and i have you on my iGOGGLE. I picked my favorite Dog Whisper episode. I really just love your show keep making more sooo i can watch.

We have a 10 week old english setter pup who has started eating her poop what do we do? We also have a 1 & 1/2 year old Shelty lab mix who is an angel but Molly our new puppy is very hyper. We feed her 1 cup of dry food twice a day. What are we doing wrong and what can we do to have her not eat it.

Sincerly

Maggs and molly

dear cesear,
i have a four month old boxer puppy. he is my baby. i read your book on training but i am still having issues. he does as he pleases even though i work with him all the time. he is stubborn and bullheaded. he knows no means bad but he looks at you and does it any way. he can be out with me for hours walking and used to stay at my heels now he takes off. i have to leash him to keep him in check. he still goes in the house at night even if i take him out at midnight. he thinks he should be able to do as he wants. i have done the control thing with him like putting him on his back to show i am more dominant. if i walk him on the leash and he tries to pass me i pull him back. the housebreaking is the biggest problem. he doesnt do it during the day even if he is alone while i am at work just at night. any help would be appreciated.

I am searching for an episode where there was a small dog (I
believe it was a Shihtzu) who refused to go on his walks. The
owner was shown dragging the little guy around like he was a
floor mop.

After two years of serious training walks, my two Lhasa
Apsos have begun to sit down often during our walks, refusing
every entreaty to continue. At first we thought it was the
heat, but other times they have begun doing this also. We have tried letting them lead the way and be in charge of their own walk; this helps a little. If we carry them a little way and
then set them down they will often continue for a while. We've
tried everything!

I have hunted everywhere available to me, but cannot locate
this episode. Is there a kind soul out there in Cesarland who remembers this episode and can tell me how to locate it?

Pleeeeze!

Netty - the frustrated mommy.

I have a Golden Retreiver that is the friendliest dog you will ever meet. That is the problem, everytime someone walks by or comes to our house he barks and will put his side on the person and will almost try to knock them down ( he loves to go between peoples legs and push his hips up). I am afraid for him because he has hip displacia like a lot of retreivers. Its not that he jumps, he is just so big. He also loves the water, when ever we turn the hose on or we splash water he will run and try to catch it in his mouth. He sometimes gets carried away and will run so much on the pavement it starts to ware his nails down and he starts bleeding. Also, when he gets in our pool (just on the stairs) he gets his stomach wet and being a long haired dog just absorbs water. ANY SUGGESTIONS ecspecially about the knocking people down.

FROM A COUPLE WHO PRACTICE

My fiance and I got our female yellow labrador, from a breeder online when she was 8 weeks old. We did our research and had been looking for a really long time for a dog, and came down to the decision of getting a lab. Once we bought her, we immediately went out, dog the "Idiots Guide to Puppies" book, set TiVo to record The Dog Whisperer, and made sure we also had a training schedule fixed to her age/maturity level, and a daily schedule to get her into a routine. We were set! Day 1 when she came home, we had already planned a whole bunch of things such as when she was going outside, when she would eat, bathing, and training etc. Our biggest thing was that we wanted her to know that we knew she was coming and that we knew what to do. That same day we also started to submit Madison and have every time she's been bad. We also implemented Cesar's rules and techniques. Long story short, she's now 8 months old and she's great! Everyone complements us on how good she is, and how quickly it happened. By 12 weeks she was housebroken, she doesn't bite, destory anything, bark at other dogs when she sees them, etc. Now, I'm not saying I have the perfect dog, because we're still working on heeling and socializing, but if it weren't for Cesar's tips, I don't think I'd be able to cut and file my dogs nails, brush her teeth, tend to her wounds, clean her ears or wash her, and just enjoy her the way my fiance and I do. My fiance and I have a symbiotic relationship with our dog that is well balanced. We refer to Madison as our daughter, but that doesn't stop us from disciplining her because we realize that she's first a dog, then a lab, then Madison, and then our daughter. Thanks so much for all you've done for us and our dog, I always recommend your show, techniques, and you to people when they're getting ready to get a dog or when they have issues with them.

Thanks again,
Stephanie and David, MD

I've decided to use Cesar's tips on pack issues with dogs. I have a neighbor dog who is aggressive, disruptive at our back fence. It will be fun to give this dog a try. He will only
have a glimpse of me through our five foot solid wood fence.

Karen

I would like Cesar to do a show regarding barking dogs-not just in relationship to the owner but also, as in my case, to get a neighbor to understand how rude and annoying it is to some people to have to put up with listening to their dog barking constantly. The thing is I know that it is not the dogs fault. I have witnessed these people just tie the dog up to a tree or fence and have no interaction with it at all and all it wants to do is play with someone. They don't give it any toys to play with and the times I've seen it tied up it doesn't appear to have food or water with it. I've actually thought maybe I need to call the ASPCA on them but I don't know if it is warranted. Either way I think dog owners should try to be aware that even though their barking dog may not bother them it could be a nusance to others. I think it's equally important to point out that owning a yappy dog to be a "guard dog" is just plain MEAN. My husband worked with a man who kept 2 small dogs tied to his front porch all day. When my husband asked him if he ever let the dogs run and play he said "no they are my guard dogs and I keep them chained to the front porch because that is their job. They bark anytime someone approaches the house". I think this is very wrong and it would be great if Cesar could approach this issue also. (I wonder if that is what is going on next door too). Thank you.

Hi Cesar,
Can you please do a show to try and help me?
I'm a 49 year old woman with Parkinson's. I get around in a motorized wheelchair. My boyfriend is 27 years old and lives with me.
My boyfriend and I rescued a rat terrier (dog, ha ha)3 weeks and 3 days ago. It's a female that has been spayed. She's 13 months old and when we got her from the Manhattan ASPCA they told us she was very shy (funny because Shy is my boyfriend's name). She was an inside dog so she was afraid of outside noises. She would snap at the person putting on a leash because she didn't like the snapping noise and didn't like toys. She wasn't house trained, either. We said it was o.k, so they introduced her to us. We loved her and though she seemed weary about my wheelchair, she did come up to me and was alright with me. She loved my boyfriend and took to him right away.
My boyfriend had to carry her all the way home. She is great with him and with me but in the past week my boyfriend has been working so I have had to wake up and feed her. She's not very fond of food or going outside or anything else when it comes to me doing it with her. She has now retrieved from me totally. It makes me very sad to think that the dog I love so much doesn't love me back.
I've been nothing but understanding with this dog. The only reason why I think she doesn't trust me is because I'm very jumpy and she gets nervous around me.
Can you tell me why (from what I've told you) is she like this with me and can I ever get her used to me and more or less how?

Thank you and bye, Inez from Manhattan, New York.

First of all thankyou for this show! I don't even like dogs but I love this show its what everybody needs. My daughter and son in law live in LA on the McArthur AFB. They have a 16 month old downs syndrome baby and Honey who is a 2 year old terrier of some kind. She's a calm, shy little thing who was house broken until they moved on the base. She always sneaks upstairs and poops in the babys room. She has a doggie door and at their other house always went outside. Now that the baby is crawling and on the floor alot we are more anxious to get this problem solved! Thanks!

Hi Ceaser!!
Love the show!!
I have a 4 year old (house trained) male, miniature daschund. He is just so much fun to be around, he adds so much to our family. The problem is, we live in rural Missouri (on 15 acres) and Scrappy sees so much wildlife every day, he has now started to "MARK HIS TERRITORY" in the house (I think this is the problem). He is marking right next to his favorite window (which he lays in daily), which gives him a view of the back acreage. We have on some evenings 5-6 different deer and their off-spring feeding in the back, and Scrappy just goes NUTS. My husband and I moved into the country 3 years ago so we could enjoy the wildlife, but now it seems the wildlife had changed Scrappy. What can I do??? Cleaning urine up 3 times a day is getting old. He has not done this in past years, but just started 2 months ago. He knows better, because when I find the urine, he drops his head and tries to slink away. And I can never catch him doing it---he has become sly like a fox. Anyone out there with suggestions?????????

hey i love the show. but i need some help. a 1 year old beagle mix named JD is in a shelter at a vet office. he hardly eats and he is way under weight. i know that u probably have alot these e-mail, but he needs ur help. he doesn't know what he should act like and doesn't know how to walk on a leash. he's a good dog and he is very friendly. i know it's a long way from cali, but i'm sure that this can be life or death for him. he needs a homefast, i'n asking to get him a home. i'm asking for help so he can get a home and know how to act. I'm 18 years old and i want to help all animals so plz i need ur help. my friend walks him every day to get him exersice. e-mail me back if u think u can help him.

Hi! My mom has a Shihtzu(Charlie) who is a 4 month old male from a breeder and a Shiba/Sharpi(Cindi) who is a 5 year old female from a rescue shelter. Cindi was born in the rescue basement with 6 other siblings and mom. When we rescued her she had never seen grass, felt the wind blow, or even heard the russle of a Wal-Mart bag, so she is very skiddish. When Charlie tries to play with Cindi she growls, shows her teeth, and sometime even barks at him. He licks her face, chest, and legs trying to be friendly and she runs away growling and barking. We have put up gates to keep them apart but that is a pain for us to have to walk around. Last week Cindi pinned Charlie down and he yelped. She must have just pinched him because there was no wet fur or bleeding. Sometimes when one of us forget to put Cindi down the hall and behind the gate she and Charlie actually tollerate eachother for a very short time. I know there is a common ground somewhere or they wouldn't tollerate each other at all. We love both dogs and separately they are very loving and sometimes even to each other but for the most part Cindi doesn't want Charlie to exhist in her world. HELP!!!!

Dear Cesar,

I LOVE your show. I was wondering if you were planning to address or comment on the horrific charges brought against Michael Vick for his alleged dog fighting? I am so sickened at the image of dogs fighting each other to the death, and under the coercion of humans, makes it even more painful to comprehend. How can we ban this cruel sport?

Thank you for bringing humanity to dogs - they are our unconditional friends and we should always try to protect them and never harm them.

Best,
Donna

Hello, my wife and I very much love to watch the Dog Whisperer as we glean much information about how to be the best and loving owners of our 2 year old rottweiler.

I do have one question which I'm sure will come back with a totally easy and obvious solution. Harriet my beautiful pet is afraid of the hoover. Whenever I am alone with Harriet and I go to the cupboard to bring out the hoover, she goes into an anxious state of mind and runs away from the hoover. When I use the hoover she looks longingly at me to turn it off and if I call her to me, she duly comes as long I keep the hoover still. I have tried to remain in a calm state of mind to give to Harriet to make her calm/submissive but as soon as I move the hoover again, she runs away.

If, however, I use the hose extension, Harriet is more than comfortable with it and readily comes to be inquisitive. I am at a loss as to why she fears the hoover. I did think it was maybe the different tone of the hoover to the hose extension. Am i too giving out negative energy to her subconsciously.

Please help Harriet to overcome her fear as she is an adoring pet and I want her to feel comfortable when I approach the cupboard door. Much appreciation in anticipation to a favourable response.

Hi Ceaser, i really need help and information. I have a 15 month old pit bull mix that jumps on friends and family whenever i take him off the leash. He poops all on the front yard, and whenever i play with him outside he runs across the street.

ps. Need Help asap

Dear Cesar,
We just got this dog that has had a rough time moving from home to home cause nobody can take care of him. I fell in love with him but the problem is he doesn't get along with most people. He wont hurt me, but my brother will get attacked by him if my brother walks by him. And if we give him back they may not find home for him so they will euthinize him. PLEASE PLEASE could you help me I really love this dog and want him to like people. I don't want him to be euthinized. I really need some tips or lots of help. Please could you help me.
sincerely,
Lucia

Cesar, I love your show. I have a 7 yr old Chocolate Lab that is sleeping like a baby at night since I have applied your techniques. I walk him every night. As a result he is not barking all night or chewing the side of my house. Thank you so much!

I have a 9 month old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and he is always jumping up on people, how do I get him to stop this some of my friends come in with dress clothes on and I don't want him to ruin them...the other problem I have with him he will not come to me when I call him when he is outside, he has been to obedience school, but he will not come when I call

Hey Ceaser!!!

I have never posted a blog before, but I am sooooo astounded with your work I simlpy had to let you know!!! You should consider coming to Canada and putting on your seminars!! They would definitely sell out!!

P.S. You should write another book!!

Hi Cesar ,
I love your show ! Its amazing how easy you make this look . I brought home a small chihuahua . He is 6 months old and very sweet , quiet , and loveable . We are working on potty training . I maybe confusing him with puppy pads . If I ask him if he wants go out he will let me know , but otherwise he is hit or miss on the pads . I try to keep them in the same spots all the time . Sould they be in another room and not in the living areas ? He is crated at night and is fine . I cant let him out , and a few moments later he will potty on my carpet .

I watch your show at every opportunity. I have been a youth counselor for many years and am in awe of your ability to understand and help HUMANS! You are one up on many of the professional psychologists I have encountered. Of course, the same goes for your way with dogs. I currently live with 4 cats who are quite amenable and no problem. But, I do notice that I do not feel like the pack leader as I do when I own or deal with dogs. They have subtle tendencies to be sneaky, plotting and manipulative at times. No real problem, since they are apparently honorable,----mostly, but I'm wondering if there is a 'cat whisperer' around or if you yourself have any advice on CAT psychology. (Maybe a program oriented toward cats?) At any rate, you do help many, be they dog owners or just like to watch you! THANKS!

Has anyone ordered the gift set from Cesar Millan, Inc. and tried to redeem the "gift certificate" for the illusion collar and leash?

I have tried for over 2 weeks now and it is becoming a joke. I have spoken with 4 different people, all of whom promise it is in stock and being ordered and they will call me with the order number. It never happens. Now they are just flippant about it and the latest character says that he'll have to call me in the morning and that HE is going to get to the bottom of this! RIGHT!!

I would never have ordered the gift set if I didn't think it was a good value by including the leash and collar set. It states you can redeem it online, as I ordered the gift set, but when you try...there is no option for inputing the gift number! So, you have to call. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time trying to redeem any certificates! My order came within a couple of weeks (which is slow by today's standards), but trying to get the leash/collar set has been a total fiasco! If there is anyone from the actual Cesar Millan company who cares about this...please look into how this company is processing your orders. You have at least ONE very dissatisfied customer and I venture to guess, there are hundreds more!

I love the show. I have learned when my two dogs (border collie mix and lab mix) need walking by the way they act in the house. When they start looking at each other and make little advances toward each other - the leash goes on and we walk. When we get back to the house they each take their spot on the floor in the living room and sleep for a long time and are calm the rest of the day. Thank you.
P.S. I loved your show about the lady who had anxiety attacks and you helped her as well as the dog. The dog was training to be a dog that helps people like a seeing-eye-dog.

I faithfully watch most episodes of The Dog Whisperer. I love the focus on dog behavior. There doesn't seem to be enough focus on owner behavior, especially responsible pet ownership. When I had my Great Dane, Cody, I walked him frequently, and took along my poopy scooper, though there was no ordinance requiring it. I love dogs and I wish the show would occasionally mention responsible pet ownership with respect to pooch poop, destruction of neighbors' plants and gardens, etc when walking dogs.

In response to the service dog comment: I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that is an evidence search dog with our local Search & Rescue group. Many people are surprised to see this breed used in SAR, but my experience has shown that any breed, when handled properly, can perform a variety of jobs. One has to work with the breed traits- my dog does not have a drive to track like a lab or German Shepard, but he loves to work for food and positive reinforcement. He gets into a lot less "trouble" now and seems much happier since he found a job.

I have Rottwilier/collie mix. I have been enjoying watching your programmes. I think the way that you handle the dogs is excellent and amazing. I have a problem with my 3 year old dog when someone passes on the path outside the house she barks, also she goes crazy when I leave the house at all as I am the master of her, when my children are playing or toy fighting she barks and growls at them, when someone is at the door she growls and barks then runs and jumps at the door. Does that mean that she is protecting? I see your techniques working on other dogs I will be trying them out on my dog. I will be watching more of your programme for more tips. Thank you.

I have a 1 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He will not stop chewing every thing I own including a sofa in the video room. He has cost me a small fortune in Chewing. He will not stop barking if I don't let him in at night. I have purchased a barking shock collar and DVD on how to use it but I am in great need of help.

I do have quite a bit of money in him. He ate some of that dog food with the Chinese wheaten in it and was in ICU for 4 days. I really try to train him with a video I bought but it is not working.

How can I find a trainer who trained with the Dog Whisperer in San Diego county (Calif). I am at the end of my rope. Can anyone help.

I have a red pomeranian. I love watching your shows, they just amaze me how you control the dogs. Every time that I see or hear you anywhere ask them to leave it there. I had problems with my pomeranian, Muneco,he was destorying all the shoes. I was the one who got in troble instead of him. Once,I saw the "Dog Whisperer" shows,I became your biggest fan. My older brother would tell me that I had to become more strict. It worked for a moment, but that time I haven't told him that I have seen your show. So,decided to follow your steps and it work for life. Muneco,is now almost three years old in three months. Now,I call him my crazy monkey and Speedy Gonzalez because he might be a little old,but he has the energy as a puppy. I feel so glad for you, because the first time I see a Mexican guy, that all the people wants the help from a Mexican. Congratulations,Cesar and just to tell you I am twelve years old, also I am hispanic too. Good luck in your life.

This is a personal case which I may need help with. I have two Chihuahuas. Taco is 9 and Peanut was adopted from a shelter is very tiny (3lbs) and is about 19 mos old. She has been a great dog (both have been) but yesterday Taco grabbed Peanut by the neck back and held on tight - they were both after the same treat - this has Never happened before. It took a few seconds to get Taco off Peanut. Peanut ran and hid under our bed (she has never done this). This morning she ran up stairs after being let out this morning and wont be anywhere near Taco. I am very worried that something has happened to her - she just wants to be alone. She will let me hold her but is very afraid of Taco. Anyone have any advise?

recently got a dog a bernese mountain dog 3 years old that was advertized in the paper when the woman brought her to our house she would not be friendly to us and went bizzark when she left her with her leash on she wondered around and finally found a bed she wanted to rest on but every time we went anywhere near her she barked or snarled or growled we could not even get her leash off we really would love to keep this dog but had to return her to the woman we were afraid she stayed on that bed allthe rest of the night and next day till almost five in the afternoon she came her about 3 the following day and never got to go to the bathroom till the owner came to pick her up. when the owner came she acted like a new puppy so excited. we would like to know how to get her to be friendly so we could get her back with us.

Cesar,

We just got a Cocker Spaniel/ Lab mix puppy, approximately 12wks old. We have a crate for him with pillow and blanket, and some nights he is ok with that. He will white for about a minute and maybe bark twice. Other nights he just will not be quiet, and we are worried about our neighbors (we live in an apartment). What can we do?? Love the show!!!!!!!!!

I have a dog that was rescued from a hoarding situation and she's a love bug but she exhibits abnormal protective aggression towards other dogs and she exhibits aggression with her brother over treats, sometimes over food. It would be great if Cesar could do an episode on aggression or on dogs from those types of situations. I would submit an idea and a video but you are not accepting videos from NJ at this time. I think it would be very helpful to do an episode specifically with dogs rescued from a hoarding house because a lot of these animals are rescued and then put up for adoption and people are not given enough back ground information and end up with a situation that they may not be able to handle. We are doing all we can to ease our dogs anxiety and we are going to have our behaviorial specialist come to give us information and tips. Not everyone can do that and I'm afraid that in the long run, these animals may be euthanized because people are unaware of the behaviors that an animal from a hoarding house can exhibit. Anyone on the blog, suggestions are always welcome. Thank you,
Debbie

Dear Cesar Milan,
I LOVE YOU! You have helped me soooooo much since I discovered your show 6 months ago when we moved to Las Vegas.
I have been afraid of dogs for the past 40 years after I was bitten by a neighbor's little yippy dog when I was 8 years old. Dogs usually hate me, too.
I have learned so much from you and I'm trying to "fake it til I make it." I don't have to cross the street anymore when out for my walks and confronted by a dog coming in the opposite direction.
Thanks Cesar!! I love your philosophy on dogs, plus you are very cute.
Peggy

From watching your show, I can see that you have a true understanding of the canine mentality. I'm hoping you can offer me some advice. I have a 1.5 year old Keeshond named Anikan. He's a loving devoted dog who listens fairly well when I'm present. However, when we leave the house, he will get into the trash and urinate on my belongings (clothes on the floor, cushions/pillows on the floor, and the sofa). His behavior is putting a strain on my relationship with my husband. I can tell that Ankian knows right from wrong. However, it doesn't prevent him from acting out when left alone. He has a crate, but is an escape artist. He can even open pocket doors. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
Sincerely,
Kathy Straus

Than you so much for your show. I it is really a great service to all dog lovers ... and non dog lovers too! I has been such an education for me. I record and watch every episode. I have a 3 year old Brittany. Once I started watching your show I found how I was doing everything wrong. She is very shy and untrusting of other people. She pulled when I walked her, would not come when called barked at anything that moved (we lived on 5 acres). I am now living in the city. I started using your techniques. She will now wait for me to go out the door first (even when I forget to tell her to wait before going out), she walks well on a leash, she will ignore other people and dogs. I was so amazed when she really started listening to me. My only problem is that she is still afraid of other people. She has nipped some friends when they come other. We have a fenced yard. She will bark at the neighbor, but only once. If I could get her to be friendly to others she would be the best dog. If anyone has any suggestions I would be greatful. Keep the shows comming. I learn something new in almost every show.

My husband and I just adopted a pom/feist mixed puppy. After having him treated for Parvo and Coccidia, we spoiled him. Due to us spoiling him, he started to become naughty by biting and growling. Whenever my husband would give him into trouble, he would start barking and growling at me. I guess he wanted to be above me in the hierarchy in our house.
We started watching your show and are now using the same techniques asyou do. It seems to be working. I am now trying to be dominant, as well as my husband.
We absolutely love your show and we think you are wonderful. I just absoluetly love you. I think your show is great and we will continue to watch. It would be great if you could do a show about puppies. I'm sure I am not the only one out there that needs help.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Ceaser! i would just like to let you know that your show is amazing and i have tried a few simple techniques that seem to be working (indoors) with my two siberian huskies.
My only concern with my two dogs is when we walk they are hyperactive and are too excited when visiting with people and other dogs, to the point where someone could get hurt. My male dog especially is bad, i think his energy feeds into my female dog. Any suggestions? i would love to hear from you. Thanks so much for the show again! it is great!

Hello,
We adopted this golden lab/husky mix from a family with two children. As the youngest daughter had asthma they had to find a home for Bianca. She would always jump up on the owner, Rosa and sometimes even nip at her. I've tried to be assertive with her but the other day I was trying to stop her from eating cat droppings, I stood over the area and she nipped my shoes then started jumping on me and nipping me. I was afraid, tried to show calm-assertive energy but she did not stop and I became afraid. Cesar could you give any advise on this. Just started watching Dog whisperer after reading your Book : Cesar's way. It was loaned to me by a good friend. Pls help. thank you. Kathleen from Laval,Qc. Canada

Hello: I have two american bull terrier(pitt bull) both males. The oldest is 10 years old and the other one is three. They both get along very well together and play very hard together. I have really only one really big issue that I just have not been to successful at correcting. The youngest one will mark if left alone in the house and at night. I still need to keep him in a kennel when I go to work or leave during the day. He also is in the kennel at night. I have seen improvement since I have increased the excerise, walking both dogs together and I do allot of obedience in house. He no longer marks when I am home and out of sight home just when I leave. He will also mark when the dog sitter stays at the house when I leave for a long weekend. He is very hard to catch in the act. Any suggestions?

Bet you havn't heard this one before! I have had a cocker puppy for 4weeks now, she was 5mo.old when I got her. I can not house break her.She wets in her crate or on the floor. I can take her out for 30min. to 1hr.,walk her, play with her,she will not wet until we come back in.I set my clock to get up in the middle of the night but she will come back in and wet her crate. We have doggie doors which she goes in and out of but not to potty. My husband thinks she is retarded and wants to get rid of her.She has learned to sit, stay, and fetch.I love her so much and just lost my 9yr.old cocker in May to the pet food recall. Can someone PLEASE help!

The 53 pit bulls in the Michael Vick case will be euthanized today if no one claims them. Obviously, no one is going to come forward since they were involved with illegal dog fighting. Also, they have been termed "not adoptable" and most feel they cannot be rehabilitated, therefore must be euthanized. I believe not only dog/pet owners, but the country as a whole, would feel great admiration and respect for Cesar if he were to take on this challenge and save these poor dogs. Please help and use your expertise to make a statement about this type of cruelty.

Because of the recent Michael Vick illegal dog fighting incident, there are 53 dogs in Virginia waiting to be put down if someone doesn't come forward to help them. Wouldn't it be great if Cesar could work with these dogs to rehabilitate them. The judge in this case is to make the decision as to what will happen to the dogs. Maybe the judge could order Michael Vick to pay Cesar to work them. It would be a great reality TV show. If anyone can help, it's Cesar! Unfortunately, time is running out for these dogs.

I have an 80lb German Shephard mix and a Pitbull / Shar Pei mix. My question is for the German Shephard (Simone). I take the dogs rollerblading nightly and if we happen to come to another dog, when the other dog gets within about a foot Simone will try to attack.
The odd thing is if I see a dog and just let go off the leash she is fine, will greet the dog and then go on her way. Also in the times she does attack she is obviously pulling on the leash and I think it might be out of frustration that she can't get to the dog. What I will do sometimes is let the other dog go and then turn Simone around and have her sit with her back to the opposing dog, haven't really had any results by doing this.

On a side note when they are pulling me on rollerblades we average a speed of 25mph!

Any suggestions or insight?

We love your show, but the real star is Scarlett the French Bulldog. Can't you get her more "face time"??? A glimpse or two of her "dominating" the pack is not near enough. Maybe a spin-off?

Dear Cesar,
Thank you for your commitment to bringing a greater understanding of dog behavior to the public, and for your candor, direct way of showing us how we are humanizing our canine partners. I have considered writing to you regarding a situation I am experiencing in my household for some time, but been too uncomfortable to contact you until now. I have three dogs in my home, 1 housedog (Min Pin), and 2 german sheppards, who stay in my horse barn with me. One of my sheppard's, a male, is terribly fearful of my husband, and with good reason. My husband has never mistreated him physically, but he has a very strong personality, and will "bully" this dog. My husband can just look at him, and he tries to get away, usually coming to me, or trying to get to his crate. Since I can't "train" my husband, my instincts are to find a good home for the dog, but he won't be easy to place. This dog was bred for work, and is very attached to me, and his previous trainer has said that the dog would most likely have to be put down. The previous trainer introduced him to schutzhund training, but the dog is reluctant to bite, and they had to hurt him to entice a bite. This dog has issues I'm sure I haven't tapped into, as he requires muzzeling for veterinary care, and growled at 3 people in the 5 years I've owned him. Any advise would be well received, and please keep up the great work. Kris

Hi Cesar,

We have a 2 yr old male shih tzu that has a "marking" problem. I believe this is due to my husband being a marine and being gone for extended periods of time causing the dog to have separation anxiety. After my husband's last return home from Iraq, he got another dog, this one a male American Bulldog. The two dogs got along fine in the beginning, but now, after 6 months, they fight more than ever. I've noticed it usually only happens when my husband is around, like they're trying to impress him. To top it off, I'm 6 months pregnant, and my husband is returning to Iraq before the baby is due. I'll be going back home to stay with my mom (who has a female westie) and my ill stepfather. I can't have these dogs at each others throats around a newborn or my stepfather. And heaven forbid something happen to my mom's dog! She also just got brand new carpet (remember the shih tzu has a marking problem). I can't imagine having to give either dog up especially with my husband gone, they are my family. But I am at a total loss as to how to make this as easy as possible for all parties involved. I've been crying myself to sleep worrying about having to give up my dogs, but I'm running out of time and options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time!
Kari (aka a desperate, scared, pregnant military wife, and mother of 2 lovable/aggravating dogs)

Help!! We have 2 one year old Australian Cattle Dog/Newfoundland Mix both male and brothers. First 4 months they were fine right next to each other. Then they got into a fight and it was so bad the one almost bit the other's ear off. Now they are in crates separately and are feed and outside separately. How can we get these two together withou mauling or killing one another? We know they are both trying to dominate but how can it be corrected?

Hi,

I have an 11 year old maltese that barks non-stop when she is left home alone. My maltese was very attached to my other dog that was killed almost 2 years ago. now shes become very attached to me. she follows me from room to room and will even look behind the shower curtain to make sure im really in the shower. i would drop her off at doggy day care for a while but i simply cannot afford it both financially and time wise to drop her off and pick her up every day. I just dont know what to do anymore. ive considered getting another dog not only for the barking but also because i dont think its fair for her to be left home alone for 11 hours a day. what is the solution for her barking? and is getting a second dog a good idea for my maltese to have a companion?

Does anyone know where Ceasar got those rollerblades!!! I would really like to check out a pair.

i love your shows, and they are very helpfull, but i find implementing the training very difficult.i wish that you would come to britain.i have 3 jack russell terriers, and they are driveing me mad recently and all have different, behavioral problems.my health has deteriorated, and their problems are makeing me more isolated.idont know what to do .please help.

Please Help! I have a 4 year Pomeranian that I love so much, her name is Foxy. The only problem that I have with her is that continues to urinate and deficate every where. I have attempted to liter box train her and I know she has grasped the concept because she will occassionaly use it, however, when she is playing she will potty anywhere; even right outside next to her litter box. Because of this problem I am forced to leave her in her crate while I go to work for up to 8 hours at a time and at night when I retier, this breaks my heart because she should be able to roam the house as this is her home. I want her to be happy, but I can't afford the expensenses and the time in cleaning my carpet everyday. Running out of ideas and patience, please help Foxy and me.

The Dog Whisperer is one of my favorite shows. Why? Before seeing this show, I had little faith in becoming a dog owner. My fiance brought his 1 year old Pittbull, Nanuk, to my home when he moved in and I tried my hardest to stay at work for longer periods of time to avoid having any contact with the dog (my baby). After watching a few episodes, I am happy to say that not only have I become educated in caring for Nanuk, I have developed a strong bond with him and can't see my life without him. He would growl at me and destroy anything that belonged to me. I stopped being afraid of him and started to take walks with him and my boyfriend and eventually, he started wanting me to walk him and play with him when we would take him to the dog park. He is the most amazing dog. And I am proud to say, that now I am the proud owner of my first pittbull puppy, Milo. Nanuk has been such a good boy with his new brother and I look forward to my new life with my boyfriend and our babies. Mr. Cesar, thank you for your knowledge. I am a devoted animal lover now and it's all because of you and your show.

Dear Cesar,
I have a ten month old Jack Russell Terrier who needs serious help. She is agressive towards our other dog, a Dacshund, named Nelly. She is very jumpy and somethimes overplayful. She bites and scrathes, and we are afraid to have anyone over, because she might pounce them! She hates people leaving as well. She tries to bite the tires of bikes and cars. All of us are worried she is going to be hit if she continues this. She also does not like to obey. I have gone through many dog training classes and I have tried almost everything I can think of possible. You are my last resort. I really need to deal with this problem, for we are afraid that she will kill our other dog, for she is much younger. Please, PLEASE consider visting our home. WE NEED YOU!
Thank you for taking time to read this,

My wife and I love your show - we are so excited to get an 8 month old puppy from a neighbor who was about to take him to the humane society.... He is being taught "the Cesar Way" however, we are unsure about where he can sleep. My wife has him (a miniture Bishon/poodle mix) sleeping in a large dog bed and I think he needs to be in the laundry room on the other side of the house. The first night he slept without a sound, and woke up after 8 hours. What do you think - please help us with this question ASAP, as we aren't agreeing, and can't remember any of your shows talking about puppies and how to handle the first days at home. Thanks so much!!

My family and i have a dog named Bella. She is a female dog getting ready to turn 2 years old. Bella doesn't normally listen to anyone except my son and my husband Monty. She is a puggle and she has A LOT! of energy. Bella gets way to excited when she see's people and it's embarassing to have our dog run everywhere adn jump on people when they come over. And when we put her outside she crys and scratches on the doors. The only reason she is outside is because we have a 7month old baby and because she isn't potty trained! Can you help us?

I have a black lab golden retriever and boarder collie mix.
She loves the family and is really good with us but she just gets really nervouse around other dogs and mostly kids from age 5-14 she gets so nervouse she sometimes snaps and bit my niese who is 6. She is not agressive just nervouse I would like to be able to take her places like my soccer games but she snaps at my teamates... basically i need help on what to do. I really love her and my dad hates her and relaly wants to put her into a shelter.

Thank you for all the work you do for the animals. My Shih Tzu had a few problems but after watching your show and seeing the many different problems and ways to solve them, I am working with her and things are going great. My question to you would be: When I see shows like the SPCA New York, they are putting animals down just because they are attacking a hand while eating. I feel this is a natural response from the dog. Alot of these dogs were found starving, it would be natural for them to want to keep someone out of their food. When I was growing up I was taught to stay away from the dogs when eating and everying worked out fine. Could you possibly do a show where you would go to the SPCA and show them how to help these dogs instead of putting them down?
Love you show and wish it was on more often.

I love your show but I've noticed that you feed the dogs in your pack IAMS, and I'm just wondering why? If someone owned a dog and kept that dog in a kennel all of its life and did unnecessary "tests" on them, I doubt that you would think they were a good pack leader. There are many other pet food companies that don't test and torture animals--why the IAMS product placement?

Question,

I have three dogs, two of them have been with me for a while and one them is new. I have trained the the older two that the food bowl is always full. My new dog came from a home where they fed him on a schedule twice a day. Everytime I put food out the new guy wolfs it down. How do I go about transitioning him to know that food is always available?

i have 2 dog a 2 year old lab pit mix who thinks every one comes to see her. She jumps on every one and showers them with kisses. the other dog is a 1 and ahslf year old english mastif and she is afraid of every one. when i try and correct the pit mix(sweet pea ) then Tinker bell the mastif almost hurts her self running away.even though she is not the one being corrected. what can i do??

Cesar,

I NEED YOUR HELP!! I have a one year old pug that has a horrible habit of eating everything in sight. I have already spent over 3,000 dollars on medical care for this problem. He has already had exploritory surgery where they removed about 40 rubber bands, and been hospitalized for pancreatitus which they think is related to him eating stuff. Everytime I see him with something I take it out of his mouth and say NO! But when I go to the dog park I cant always catch him when he eats mulch, or a stick. How can I break him of this habit before he makes me go broke! Im a college student I cant afford all these medical bills, but I would never ever give him up. Please some advice would mean sooo much to me! I dont want him to one day eat something and him get seriously hurt, or die. He really is a great dog and he means everything to me. Thanks for your time!

Cesar,

First I would like to start off by saying how awesome I think you are. I love your show and I LOVE Daddy! :) I have a pit named Willis and they look very similar, however Daddy is much more buff, Willis has some more running to do.

The reason for my blog is not about Willis. It is about my boyfriend Andy's dog that keeps marking in my house and my house only. She is a 2 year old English Staffordshire bull terrier named Panda. Andy and I have been dating for 6 months, but have been friends for over two years. Since we have been dating, we mainly stay at my house because I just bought it and its more private than his. I bought a new construction home so everything is brand new. I have a darker colored carpet so you really can't tell where or if she has marked until its starts to smell. And I don't know when she started to do it because of the same reason.

A few months ago sometimes she would act wierd around the house by cowering when she would see me or andy and would act nervous. We soon discovered that she would act that way after she went and marked somewhere in the house because we started to smell the aroma and have caught her doing it. She totally gives herself away! At that time she wasn't fixed so I told Andy to get her fixed or else! So she got fixed and then he got my carpets cleaned.

After she got fixed things were alot better. She was no longer marking outside over Willis's and other dogs pee, she wasn't as agressive and sexual when playing with other dog's and she wasn't acting like she was in trouble because she just went and marked in the house. Things were much better! But then I started to smell pee again. So I called the carpet cleaners again and scheduled another appt. I got stuck out of town and ended up canceling and hadn't gotten back to reschedule until this morning.

Every morning is the same at my house. Wake up at 7:00 am., dogs go outside and then come back in for breakfast and then Andy and I start to get ready for work. When we leave we take the dogs outside again, Willis stays home and Panda always go with Andy to work. He use to leave her with Willis, but then the marking started so he won't leave her anymore. This morning she went upstairs and pooped at the landing of the stairs, infront of my roommates door. He came out because of scratching at his door and stepped in a freshy. She usually will come up to me if she needs to go outside, but this morning she didn't come up to me. We called the carpet people to come out same day. I was curious to see where she had been marking again so I followed the carpet guy around with his little black light. I found that she has been going everywhere! My brand new carpet! My brand new house smells like dog urine!

We need some advice! We have tried everything! She knows she is not suppose to go in the house and she never started to do this till this year. We've tried rubbing her nose in it and saying "NO" and taking her outside. Andy has tried spanking, kenneling and more exersizing. This dog is super spoiled and is exersized alot anyway. Please save my house and my insanity! I love Panda, but now I think the only other option is making her an outside dog which would be sad. :( I hope to hear from you soon.

P.S. I am positive that the marking is not willis's because (this might sound wierd) I know how Panda and Willis pee/mark and they were for sure Panda's.
Best regards, Jamie

My favorite episode was the dalmation at the firehouse. I like this episode because it appeals to children and teaches them how to work with a dog.

There's nothing cooler for a child than a spotted dalmation, a fire house, sliding pole, firetrucks and firemen in full garb, sirens bells and whistles. So Caesar has kids' attention immediately.

This episode helps kids understand that everyone in the family must act in unison to train their best friend while communicating about the best way to handle a rambunctious dog. It also effectively teaches children that dogs are not usually naughty, but their people can do loving things that end up creating an uncontrolled dog. Clearly Caesar was training the firemen how raise an obedient and friendly dog and how to communicate and cooperate among the people on changing shifts to raise the pup with consistent instructions and leadership.
