Pet Shop Boys

I'm pleased that more workplaces are allowing dogs. Dogs are pack animals, so they want to be where the action is. The problem is not every owner has a balanced dog. The first step to running a successful, dog-friendly workplace is evaluation. How many dogs are in the building and how do they behave? Number two, evaluate those dogs with their handlers, then make a list of the behaviors that might exist. Next, find the dog that is the most balanced and use that dog as an "ambassador" for the new dogs. In other words, make him a role model to show the other dogs the ideal energy and behavior. Remember, just because a place is "dog friendly" doesn't mean it is "dog knowledgeable."

Oh this was a wonderful episode. I am so glad to see this having mroe and more dogs in the work place when people take the time and energy to socialize their dogs and teach them how to behave with customers!

Watch how Cesar used Daddy to teach new dog or bad dog how to behave was a complete ephany for me that I have used for my short and long term fostering ever since.I recently took a rescue dog and coverted her to a Therapy certified dog in under 30 days using Cesar's techniques. I am now taking her with me to safety fairs and events at businesses to educate people how comparatively easy this is if one will simply be consistent with a few basic pieces and how much it helps with stress in the work place!

Imagine what it would be like for people who take breaks to really walk their dog twice a day at work AND for those places that have treadmills - how many more people would get on them at the work rec room if their dog was also walking on the treadmill next to them...the day is coming!

Thanks for inspiring us Cesar, and showing us the way through the challenges!!!

my dog is a therapy dog and I'm THRILLED that my workplace lets me bring him to work first, before our volunteer shift. he really brightens everyone's day :)

I just want to say that your show is wonderful.
I live in Canada but we get the show at 2pm on NGC.
We're never home to watch it but we religiously TiVo it! ^_^
And my favourite part of the day is coming home & getting to watch the show at night with my sister or with my boyfriend.
We are all very big fans of the show!
Please continue airing this show - I love to watch it.
You've taught us how to be responsible dog lovers, and to do what is right for the dog, not simply our own human emotional needs.
(plus, Cesar's totally hot =p)

Oh the memories. I groomed for 30 years before I retired. I did "Hard to handle dogs".Even though I never had a dog or cat I couldn't get done, I still learned things from that episode. Some people got the message I tried to give about training and discipline, but most did not. They would get hurt when they saw how much attention I got from their dog when they came to pick it up. They didn't get the fact that the dog saw me as a leader not them. I hope they watch the show now and get it.
