Cesar, I am from Flint , Michigan. My pitbull needs help(actually my husband and I need help wirh our pitbull! lol) Our dog's name is Brasco. He will sit, stay, and let go of toys when we command him to, but he is very agressive. He loves my mom, grandma, and father-in-law. The thing is , he doesn't like anyone else. We cannot get him to stop barking and scratching his paws on the screen door when people come over or walk down the street. We have to make him go in the basement or the bathroom when company comes over. He stil barks and whines. The hairs on his back stick up and he is really mean. Please help us.
Cesar is amazing. Not only in the way he trains dogs, but also in the way he relates with the people who own the dogs. The most touching story I have seen was just last night with the lady in the wheelchair and her dog, Beau. With Cesar's help that lady became an inspiration to me. I truly wish that lady all the best and Beau is incredible!! Congratulations Cesar not only for your 100th show but for being such a great, sympathetic teacher. Best Wishes.
Hi Cesar! First Congratulations!! Second just wanted to let you know I am a new Mom to a 10 month old Beagle Puppy. My Son is in the Marines and is going to be going back for his second tour in Iraq, so we are now caring for his Beagle. Any different training methods you use for Beagles? She has her nose to the ground all the time, and it is a lot harder to keep her attention then it is with my other Dogs.
Thanks for All You Do!!!
Sincerely,
Lorna Martin
Congratulations Cesar from Gillian Henriz (and Lucas - a 6 year old Nova Scotiata Duck tolling retreiver) in Stockholm,Sweden! Even thoguh I have grown up like you on a farm, but in Zimbabwe, Africa, I have learnt sooo much from you on "the Dog Whisperer" program every Monday evening- it would be such an honour to meet you in person. You are the most inspiring person I have ever seen.
My doctor advised me to get a dog (because I have fibromyalgia) so that I have to go out and walk every day even though I may have pain.
My dog, Lucas, is now 6 years old and less wild than as a puppy. No major problems :)
It would be so fantastically great if you could come to Europe, specially Sweden, to help us over here :) There are sooo many of us who watch your program and learn from you and Daddy.
Big hugs to you and your family and Daddy (and the rest of the pack) You are such a breath of fresh air and so great. Good luck..you deserve it.
Gillian Henriz and Lucas
Congratulations Cesar and Pack! How amazing you and your entire family crew and pack are. You have changed so many lives for the better. I am truly moved by your mission especially Pitt bulls.
I rescued one a few months ago who was taken to early from his mom then surrender to the pound. The rescue group I was pulling him for had him placed and I was fostering for 3 days till transport. On the second day he came down with pneumonia and every worm and parasite possible.
3 Days turned into 6 weeks nursing him to health. The adoption did not take and I had him returned to me since he had so much trauma in his young life.
My problem is... I have a 11 year old Jack Russell who has ruled the roost for all this time. He does not like to share with other animals. The problem is my son and I live with my parents and my dad is not a pack leader and has let Scout assume the role. He is fine when I have him w/out my dad and obeys.
I want our puppy and Scout to live together in Peace. Please help.
Thank you, Wendy, Scout and Biff
p.s. will you ever let people to come out and train with you at the center?
whats your trick
Questions for Cesar:
How can I get my dog to stop lunging when I walk him with my other dog? Both of them are labs. One is a lab mix. When the chocolate lab lunges the other gets nervous and starts to go into the red agressive zone mode.
How can I get my lab to stop barking when we swim? He runs around the pool etc.
How do I train my lab ( who is not a puppy), to stop stealing my shoes?
I have more questions, but I guess you will have to come and visit to help me. I have been trying for a couple of years now.
Lastly, congratulations on your 100th episode. You are awesome. Especially, if you can come help me. Gotta go. My dog is out of control barking at the front door.
Tamara from San Diego Looking forward to watching the show. ;0)
Can you also help me figure out how to make your noises work?
Please help and answer the questions when you can. Have to run.

How do I control situations when my dogs are on leashes and other neighborhood dogs are loose? My dogs are not "red zone" aggressive but both are in their senior years and do not appreciate excessive attention from other dogs. Also, how can I convince my husband that your philosophy is not about changing our dog's personalities?
my nuetered 11 mth male pit/lab has recently begun to display aggressive behavior to both dogs & people. Once he fixes his attention we have a difficult time controlling him. He is very smart, sensitive, playful, & sweet. He plays well with our Lhasa & Yorkies, has never been aggressive to them, just dogs he does not know. We really love this dog & want to keep him, but we are affraid now that he may hurt someone. Could showing him too much love be the problem? I really think he believes he's a little dog & does not understand his power, he often tries to sit on my lap & jumps at me like a small dog will. Any suggestions? Could it be due to a recent move across country & not feeling secure? We bought both our dogs in MX & lived in MX until one month ago, he is a different dog now could it be the move & drastic change in enviroment,Or is it the Pit coming out in him? I always rejected that idea, but now I am not so sure!!
I have two chihuahuas. The younger one, "Bob," is a 4 yr old 4 1/2 lb male and is in charge. The other is an 8 yr old female named "Poco" at 7 3/4 lb is almost twice the size of Bob. How did Bob become the dominant dog he is much smaller and Poco was there first. She pouted for almost a year after he was introduced; now Bob bullies her whenever my husband and I are near. He growls or snaps at the air near her if she gets to close to me; they act jealous of each other, but Poco defers to Bob and acts afraid of him in many situations. Also, Poco will lick the entire kitchen floor in the morning unless we stop her. They both lick the carpet until there are large dents in the nap. What has caused this licking behavior? If Poco is gone, like when I take her to the vet, Bob whines the whole time like he misses her. He also is so scared of thunder that even in the middle of the winter, when it is cloudy, he acts scared and will not even eat in the morning. He also chooses to relieve himself in the house to keep from going out in bad weather or the dark. We have learned to take him out numerous times during bad weather or the dark and to keep him near us like a puppy. How is this big scaredy cat the alpha dog in our household? And is there a way to get him unscared of the weather?
Cesar,
I need your help sooo bad!!! I have two dogs with two totally different problems. I have a female boxer, Lady, that is almost two who is...very happy. The only one she will listen to is my fiance and even then she can be out of control!!! She dumps over her food and water bowls unless there is wet food in it! I can't walk her, she walks me and if there is something that interests her I cannot get her away. She jumps on people and is disobedient. I feel like we are neglecting herr because we can't do much with her. I want an obedient dog! Then I have my also almost two year old pit bull that I got as a rescue. He was supposedly used as a fight dog but he is my baby. But whenever anyone new comes around he is terrified. He shakes, barks, and growls. Also when he is afraid his fur falls out. I cannot take him anywhere! I took him to my fiance's outdoor hockey game and he snapped at a child that got too close to his face. Now that my fiance and I are moving in together I am afraid to put them together. They met when Lady was smaller but now she is so dominent and I don't know if Buddy would get aggressive with her. When I took him around a dog larger than him he attacked and I want a happy home. Buddy is my baby and Lady is his. Neither of us are willing to give one up so we need a solution!
hey cesar!
ive been watching your show as often as i can. getting tips and tricks from you for my dog. his name is Tyson he's a pit-shar pei mix. everything i've watched you do so far has worked for him. he's almost three years old. we've got him really well trained in the house he listens to our commands and responds well to instructions. although if ever we take him outside for a walk he goes out of control. wether its me,my mom, or my boyfriend walking him. the three of us have been raising him. he's always pulling on the leash trying to go off in other directions and never listening to any of our commands. we've tried so many different things to get him to be better and none have worked. he is especially bad if we pass by another person or dog. he goes crazy. he's completely harmless and would never hurt another dog or person, he just is so out of control to go meet them and we have to fight against the leash to keep him away. please help. we want to be able to go on nice calm walks in the park.
Hi Cesar!!
I absolutely love your show. I have two American Bulldogs, they are wonderful dogs, but two completely different personalities, my first male Bean is very hyper, excited and just a burst of energy, but is very intelligent and listens to a few commands very well. My second male Chunk is very stubborn and independent, but very intelligent as well, but he doesn't like to listen to me very much. My delima is they both jump on me and everyone that comes over, along with being agressive with not only each other sometimes, but also when another dog walks by our house. They also both have a problem with pulling on the leash when I walk them and they are too strong for me to walk both of them at the same time. I just want to be able to give them commands and them listen to me. Please help me Cesar!!
Hi Cesar,
As hugh fans of your show, my friend and I were thinking you should start a " Daddy" fan club!
