I fail to see any ethical or scientific justification for aggressively provoking animals to bite, simply to record data that has, in most cases, already been established. Plus taking on the risk of serious injury to yet another "celebrity pseudo-scientist." This programming serves only to provide cheap thrills for the preferred young male demographic, not discoveries of any merit. Dr. Grosvenor would, I believe, not be pleased!

This programme is the most ridiculous example of pointless grandstanding I've ever encountered. - It's also unbelievable misinformed about pretty much every aspect of Africa it covers.

I spend about 6 months a year living in a tent in some of the wildest parts of Africa, and have done so for close to 30 years. If this idiot wanted to collect hippo sweat, I could have done that for him within 24 hours and without any risk whatsoever. As I said, nothing but pointless grandstanding.

Sadly, this is typical of Nat Geo in Africa. - Most of their programmes are so misinformed, so isrepresented and so badly planned, they're embarrassing.

Nat Geo REALLY do need to employ one or two consultants who actually know what they're doing when it comes to Africa.

I'm available for the few months of every year that I'm not living in a tent!!!
