Back for a special airing....DogTown: Crisis Dogs
Back in December the channel announced that it would begin airing a series devoted solely to showcasing a dog rehabilitaion center called DogTown and while we believed that it was a quality program, we did not expect the outpour of viewer support for the show. We are happy to say that the show will be coming back with new episodes soon and that this Sunday you can watch the episode that started it all, DogTown: Crisis Dogs.
This episode introduced you all to some of the big-hearted folks at the crisis center, Head Veterinarian Dr. Mike, and trainers Sherry Woodard and John Garcia. Not to mention meeting residences of DogTown Porto, Remington, and Ruger.
Join Nat Geo Channel all day long on Sunday as we present the first ever Dog Days Marathon on the channel. Beginning at 2:00p man's best friend has its time to shine....Woof.

As for as I have been reading today, Dogtown is located in Southern Utah.
We live in Canada and watched Dog Town and wonder when there will be more shows. We cannot seem to find it on the NGC channell. We get the Dog Whisper but cannot seem to find anymore Dog Town shows. When are they coming back? PLEASE
I also watched this show once and would love to see more. When is it coming back? I have searched on my tv "guide" feature, but there are no upcoming episodes that I can find.
Dogtown is in the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. I actually volunteered there in April this year and it was absolutley wonderful.. This sanctuary is the best ... and also has absolutely beautiful scenery. If you ever wamt to be involved in a wonderful and meaningful adventure...go visit and maybe volunteer some time here. You wont't regret it!! I look forward to seeing more of the show DOGTOWN that deplicts the work these folks do for animals!
Dogtown is an absolute much watch show. The people and dogs are wonderful, they dedicate so much time to rehabilitating these dogs. My husband and I have 3 dogs, 2 which we adopted from a rescue, we love the show and can't wait to see it again...From down in Florida, hurry back.
The show returns on 9/5/08 with a segment on the rehab of Michael Vicks pit bulls
Dogtown doesn't seem to air in Canada on NGC. Is there another way to watch it here?
While I watched dogtown on the National Geographic on 9/5/2008 I held my 3 "best
fourlegged friends" close to me. My tears were licked off my face. How can ANYONE on Earth treat
these animals for fighting.
PLEASE let us not forget to
push for stronger laws.
OUR BEST FRIENDS DESERVE IT.
And a DANKESCHOEN for the
wonderful people who work
at dogtown.
A german who loves animals
more than most people.
a friend was telling me about an episode that featured a dog that was not producing red blood cells. my three year old female boxer has what the vet thinks is IMHA in which an immune response in the body attacks red blood cells. can anyone tell me what the conclusion was in the episode, and what they did for the dog. i have looked on the website and can find only pieces of video.
thank you.
I watched Dogtown for the first time this past week-end. What a fabulous show and what a wonderful place Dogtown is. I cannot believe something so cruel as dog fighting goes on.Dogs have such a capacity for love that this breaks my heart. I love Dogtown.
