Special Announcement: Cesar Milan Officially a US Citizen
Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan took the oath today to officially become a U.S. citizen. Cesar, who passed his citizenship test earlier this year, attended the swearing in-ceremony this morning with dozens of others in Montebello, Calif., just north of Los Angeles. Cesar was joined by his wife Ilusion and two sons, Andre and Calvin, who attended to cheer him on (they are already U.S. citizens).
"This is the ultimate culmination of living the American dream," said Millan. "Becoming an U.S. citizen has been a goal of mine since I first came to this great country. I have much to thank this country for, and all of the success it has afforded me and my family, and now I am proud to be a citizen."
Straight from Cesar earlier today...
"For many years now, I have been a legal resident of the United States and considered this country my home. Today I officially become an American citizen, and I could not be more proud!
Immigrants such as myself come to the United States because of the opportunities available here. You are free to be the person you choose to be spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. The sky is the limit! My story is just one example of that. I came here with nothing but the clothes on my back, and through the kindness of strangers and hard work, I was able to see my dreams become a reality. Now, by spreading my message of balance, I work to give back to a country that has given me so much."
Be sure to drop a note of congratulations to Cesar right here!

Cesar, The Biggest Congrats Ever!!! This country is so fortunate to have a loving person like you who truly understands dogs and is able to help them to rehab their owners. I watch your show every week and tell all my friends about how right on you are. I can't wait to see your show with Pat Parelli. What a team. Thank you. Sincerely, Mary Seymour
Congratulations Cesar, We are proud to have you call the U.S. your home... As a house parent of the Smokey Mt Childrens Home in Sevierville Tn, I and my coworkers are big fans and live by your standards, setting rules boundries and limitations for our children on campus. Your show not only works with dogs that have people problems, but it also helps adults working with children who have behavioral problems and teaches the staff how to assert them selves and show the proper leadership in the cottage. Keep up the good work, and thank you for teaching to be the pack leader for our kids. Sincerly, Dan Diamond
Congratulations!! And we are proud to have you and others like you! Thank you for all the good work and press you give animal care for dogs and others. It does affect so much of our lives and our society. Keep well and safe. Best wishes, Sharifa Asmar
Congratulations, Cesar! We are so lucky to have you as pack leader and fellow citizen. Keep up the great work you do.
Wow, that is so awesome. You have been so much help with my 3 dogs and 2 cats. The cat rules the roost. But she is nice about it. Please continue the great work and please stay on TV.
Best to your whole family.

Congratulations Cesar. I also became a US citizen in Sept. 1988. You have made a great success of your life and wish you and your family the very best. I am a Savvy Club member and will be eagerly awaiting your show with Pat. Fortunately, I have a great cat, dog and horse. I can't wait to see the miracles the two of you can work.
I just read that you became an American citizen yesterday! Woo Hoo!! That is wonderful! Congratulations! I am a huge (well, not physically huge) fan of your show and your family (both human and dog).
Hi, Don't usually join blogs but this is just to say; we rescued a 6 mth old, small, staffordshire cross who was a cruelity case from RSPCA shelter and followed Cesar's instuctions exercise, discipline, affection. Along with our other 12year old rescue dog everything has been wonderful - exercise (5 times per day - husband retired he takes them twice a day, but I get up at 6am take before going to full-time job, home at 6pm I take them again and then at 9pm before bed. As Cesar says it is our responsibility when taking on a dog to fullfil their needs.

Amercia needs to learn to use your positive energy to make a difference in their own lives as well as their best friend's lives.
My Golden Retiever "Thunder" and I watch your show as often as we can. Last night had me in tears with "Gavin". What a wonderful episode. If people could help people with the same tough situations as "Gavin", what a happier world it would be. My best to you and your family.

Dear Cesar, Congradulations on becoming an American citizen. You are truely, to me, a great example of what it is to be a citizen anywhere! I always enjoy your show and have one of your books. I love the way you relate to dogs and how you respect their Beingness, they are a blessing to humanity, as you are (& to dogs,of course!) Also, thank you for sharing the pics from your childhood, early years! The VERY BEST to you & your pack!
