Baltimore pleads for Rescue Ink
From the Baltimore Sun's Unleashed Blog:
**snip to today**
Be sure to check out this amazing public urge for people that want Rescue Ink to come to Baltimore. And be sure to check out Friday's series premiere of Rescue Ink at 10p et/pt to see why they want these guys to hit the streets of Baltimore.
"Have you heard of the Rescue Ink guys? They're a gang of heavily tattooed, none-too-dainty chaps on a mission to, perhaps surprisingly at first blush, stop animal abuse.
They've got a new TV show that premiers Friday night on the National Geographic Channel. And they've also got a new book -- a few copies of which I'm willing to give away to folks who can come up with the best pleas to get the guys to come to Baltimore.
This city has animals in need. Big time. So write up a few lines beseeching the be-inked crew to get down here and start busting some heads or whatever they do in the name of furry ones.
They say they "stop at nothing within the bounds of law" to help helpless, abused and abandoned animals.
Don't you think we could use them? Get your pleas in.... I'll pick some winners by the end of the day..... And I'll do my best to make sure the guys see what you write..."

"In response to the Unleashed throwdown yesterday, asking readers to make pleas to the muscled, inked men of Rescue Ink to come to Baltimore in the name of stopping this city's animal abuse....not one but TWO brave readers offered to get paw print tattoos if the guys come to town."

This evening, 9-25-09, for the first time I watched this show. I only caught the last 15min. and was truly moved by a collaborated group of gentlemen who give true meaning to the phrase, "never judge a book by it's cover". Thank you NGC, for allowing these individuals to display compassion in such a way that i would hope would be infectious to others not only to animals but to one another.
I live near the Baltimore area...PLEASE HELP US!!!! I can only do so much myself....I will get a paw print tattoo if you come to Baltimore!!!
Rescue Ink = Vigilante justice.
I think this is the best F'in show I have seen in a very long time. I'm a huge fan immediately. I love animals and all animal shows that aren't to violent. This is by far one of the coolest group of guys. If I didn't know them and was walking on the same street I would be definitely scared. LOL! Awesome to see hard guys being responsible, smart and using their hearts instead of only their muscle.
I agree 100% with Shawn - Rescue Ink = Vigilante justice.
I'm glad that Queens guy told them to get off his property. Those cats ruined his flowers and home. He should SHOOT them! The Rescue Ink Guys are nothing but RATS who use there size as intimidation factor.
This has to be the dumbest show I've ever seen and NatGeo MUST be starving for ratings to even consider filming this garbage!!!!
Only in NY (especially Long Island) can you find this many idiots in one place. Long Island is breeding ground for dumb people. Rescue Inks collective IQ is about 4 and that is probably two points to high!
Big Ant should be called "Bid Idiot" - We da Amry for da Animals. He can't even speak properly.
It is TRUELY AMZING how these moronic people let the Rescue Ink Rats into their homes! Don't they know they can just tell them to LEAVE immediately or they'll call the police. These people have the right NOT to let them into their homes or on their property.
And NOW their saving fish??? You must be joking!
NatGeo should "RESCUE" the public from having to even see this show listed on their channel guide!

It IS truely amzing how moronic THESE people are. This comment is so pathetic, and let me give you a little advice. If you're going to insult someone else's intelligence, make sure you at least know how to spell basic words such as truly and amazing. You are a loser, as well as a moron.
Just like you said, they are not authorities so if these animal abusers don't want them in their house all they have to do is say no and call the police. They are the morons who let them in the house, and even bigger morons for abusing animals in the first damn place. I bet you get off on kicking puppies, am I right?
How could anyone find fault in people trying to protect innocent animals who can't take care of themselves and/or want to protect the people who are supposed to be taking care of them, but are neglecting/abusing them? I certainly hope you DO NOT have any pets. You certainly don't deserve them.
National Geo is saving money by doing this instead of catching crab.
These guys are clowns, not rats. They have one anonymous report of cats being shot, can't verify it except from 2 excited girls who said they heard about it. Take that to the bank.
Then they take the camera crew & go intimidate 1 man for no reason. He never should have gone out but it was a very strange situation.
He was right, who wants to have those bozos in your yard ?
