Scrap metal extreme! Electrostatic precipitator
I have a small dismantling company here in Georgia, and the projects we normally deal with are anything from water towers, asphalt plants, ready mix plants, cement terminals, heavy equipment, sewer plants, etc stuff that really requires heavy torch work. We have a exterme project coming up at a paper mill dismantling a old electrostatic precipitator "think large four story catalytic converter" for the mill's boilers. This is a rigging nightmare, for sure. This is built up on all four sides by other mill stuff, somethings are only inches from where we will be working! Somethings are 15-20 feet away. When you look at something like Google Earth or other mapping services and see we really are in the middle of the mill! If this is not enough, we have a old 3 story bark boiler to dismantle inside the plant, ouch!
